I work 6 days a week and hhave a 9 month old baby so i get no spare time.
I january i wrote off the last moe door so this is where the story starts

Pic of the donor
Image
£150 140k miles 325i 24v e36 fits the bill perfectly

This needs stripping so while struggling for time have been collecting prezys for the new shell. So far i have
E30 M3 interior (cloth) pics latter as they are down the farm with the car.
Z3 rack
Complete set of new bushes front and rear (cotswolds) including m3 consentric bushes and 325i sport anti roll bar bushes
3.64 lsd and m40 box/prop.
Spax 60/40 springs from old smashed car plus adjustable shorted spax front inserts

Image

Image

I also painted all the rear trailing arms and rear beam

Image

Image

Before and after be a shame not to tidy everything up a bit.

Also did a bit of a break conversion and got myself some rg alpina copys.
Image
I have a tech 2 kit to fit also with no rear spoiler i think.
Alpina facelift steering wheel and wooden nob.
Full custom made stainless and a mixture of manifolds that i will need to custom nearer the time. More pics and update as i make progress but dont hold your breath

Thanks guys i am looking farward to getting involved with building it. Sick of stripping things now. Feel like a scrap yard. The motor is the bit i am looking farward to the most. I already have a enlarged throttle body for it and am getting the head ported and gas flowed to complement the high profile cams that kent are re gringing for me. The flywheel is getting lightened to about 5.5kg as well. Should raise some pulses fingers crossed. I will take some more pics of the bits and pieces i have ready for the conversion. The e36 is getting stripped in the next couple of weeks then i will have the room for the new shell back on my drive.

The touring is ticking over nicely now it has a replacement idle control valve. Just a load of little finishing off jobs to do and get it in for an MOT and see what awaits me.

It smells rich as hell but not sure if that could be because I haven't got the Lambda plugged in yet or if i have either an air leak or a poor earth like Daimlerman had on his M50 swap.

It will run rich without the lambda in because that controls fuel air mixture so might be that simple mate

I read about the bloke in tbmw he is on a e36 forum and everyone rate his work on there. They are £120 exchange and your maf will adjust and let more air in so you dont even need a re map its just plug and play. I will find out his emai address if you are interested mate

12bhp my arse! All it will do is smooth out the power curve on a dyno graph, you wont get any extra power.
I fitted one to my 2.8 and it feels no different

Love the paint boothe BTW :D

I have mate £22 from the stealers. Never skimp where keeping oil in the car is conserned. The loom mate is it best to change the end on the fuse box or the loom end. I have the 2 bits off the e36 but i dont have the m20 end for the engine loom if that makes any sence
