I bought this earlier in the week after looking for a 2 door project for a while,
some zoners may remember it being on ebay and on pistonheads I rang the guy up he still had it so a deal was done over the phone

not really sure what it is :? or what to do with it !
I don't know if it is a hartge or if it is a replica, there is lots of paperwork including hartge booklets etc
the paint is a one off and was done by stripping to the bare shell approx 8 years ago the pics don't do it justice it is a very nice colour and it is growing on me !

it has been dry stored in a garage for over 5 years as a project the chap ran out of money so decided to sell
the pics are as it came to me ..there's lots of crap to be removed and it hasn't even had a wash yet !

any way here's the pics what do you think ?

i saw that on ebay, certainly looks like the engine maybe fettled in some form! Would take alot of effort to make it up to that spec collecting parts.

Does it run? Set of rims and off you go!

I quite like that colour. If its the one i remember on pistonheads it looked liked it had some lovely overspray on the engine :) Still a nice looking E30 all the same.

it just about runs enough to move it around
the old petrol stinks badly and needs draining, had a 10 minute tinker with it today but had no time to get anything done, I feel like calling in a sickie tommorow and spending a day on it :)

Amidst the stick on tat there are some tasty hartge morsels.

Whip the sump off and check that crank!

barry I will be doing so as soon as i get the chance !

the first job is to remove the tat, rear light's will be changed to standard, hartge gearnob has been fitted I need to convert the sunroof to electric and remove the pedal covers . 8O

the shell is suprisingly solid apart from the battery tray that is fooked even though there is a battery in boot conversion done ?

Nice air filter!

Any other Hartge bits fitted? Rear strut brace, anti roll bars, shocks, springs, 40% locking LSD etc

Look like the real thing.

Got the 2.7 kipper pipe rather than the 2.6 but as Barry says get the crank checked. Also open up the ECU and see if you have a Superchip in there. It will be handwritten on with 2.7 or whichever.

Looking forward to your call later today.

I would be inclined to say yes it is a Hartge if any of the above parts are present.

Also check the crank!

the battery will have been in the boot from the factory!

It's hardly a 5min job checking the crank as removing the sump in situ is a very sad job! Servicing the engine up and giving it some serious grief will soon tell what engine is fitted!

You can measure the crank stroke through a plug hole with a wire coat hanger

the battery tray needs first aid and the jacking points have been done
