it really annoys me that I can never get all the brake dust off right in the corners so I decided to get em off and have a good old scrub up....

Only done two so far but well chuffed with the results

Gonner do the other two this weekend...

Washing powder and a tooth brush seems to work best if a little time consuming :o

I use pound shop engine degreaser, tesco wheel brush squashed to get in the gaps, and a toothbrush to finish off the corners of my bbs's, takes about 15 minutes a wheel though, have to wash the degreaser off pretty quick before it starts eating in too much though.

Washing powder tablet and soft scouring pad, a toothbrush for the corners.

I must admit to measuring up the dishwasher at one stage though :o:

A soft paintbrush and good wheel cleaner works well for me. They look great though. Top work, are you going to clean the insides too?

Insides are done, will post some pics tomorrow but they were caked in brake dust and were hiding some corrosion which will have to be dealt with at some stage :x

Have any of you tried Lidl's £1 wheel cleaner? Tip half of it into a coke bottle and refill the original bottle with water to dilute it! It will shift anything, but again, make sure you really rinse clean as it is powerfull stuff!

i use liquid soda crystal takes everything off and no harmfull acid so you can give wheels a good soaking and leave on and wont harm wheels or tyres.

I've used "Wonder Wheels" brush on stuff for a few years now - quite good but doesn't half sting if you've got any cuts on your hands

Need to make a start on mine in preparation for the Midlands meet 8)
