I finally got around to fitting my window in the cab!
I sourced the window on Ebay (used, but in good condition, and a good price) from a seller in Edinburgh who delivered it to Stellas work for free! I also managed to get the instructions for fitting/zipper/adhesive/ needle & thread from another ebay deal ($5).

Here's my old window complete with famous duct tape: poke/

Reading through the instructions, first job was to lift the piping and pull the fabric out of the rubber profile.
I then had to pry out the metal tabs securing the old zip :

Using an old butter knife, it was relatively easy to split the old zip and separate the old window from the roof : :P

The old window then came away easily: woohoo

I then realised it'd be better to remove the rear headrests before going any further! LOL
The hardest part of the job was lining up the two sides of the zip and working round the window. I didn't stop to take many pics, but in the second one (apologies for blurryness) you can just see the zip opening up behind the slider. This happened quite often and was a PITA. May be because the window was used before and the teeth were not catching properly??

Zippy! :

However, I persevered and kept on going.

Next up, I had to sew both ends of the zipper closed using the needle and thread.

Getting near the end, I then applied the contact adhesive under the canvas trim to seal it with the top.

I then inserted the fabric back into the piping and the job was near enough done.

As the window was a used one, it needed a bit of a clean up. After testing it out on the old window, I used Autoglym Super Resin Polish, and it has come up pretty good!

All in all, I'm pleased with the way it turned out. The window is a lot clearer than before, and although my original looks like it has a slight green tint to it, I prefer to be able to see whats behind me!
