What did your M42 drift like?

I had a go at a drift day at barkston heath a few months ago, and could never get the hang of it. Gearing was too funky, 1st was too low, 2nd was too high.

Took me a few looks to get the hang on that E36 but it's pretty sexy.

I'm definitely not a drifter, but my touring with its 4.27 diff looses grip easy enough in 2nd with a little kick of the clutch, it not being a slipper probably doesn't help matters though.

my car drifts very well just a standard M42 with a 4.45 diff welded up and on the right corner it will keep sliding in 3rd no problems! it was mainly 2 gear drifts at lydd cart track but when the tyres were going you could get 3rd!
and as for mine being calypso red it might not be soon!!!!!!

and my friends S14 powered 318is is painted in imola red looks   in real life

That's the most unattractive steering wheel I have ever seen. Rest of that car looks awesome though.

Was there much damage after your excursions into the tyres?

You need e30 m3 bits for 5 stud, the front struts and rear hubs are the most important parts and you'll need the brakes obviously. I may have a full setup available very soon...

You can use compact rear arms, but you need to use mostly E36 M3 Evo front bits, which is a big, expensive list. As Theo said, E30 M3 bits are the best option.
