Guys
Here's mine! I bought her in late October from a very nice chap locally. He'd had an accident and has had to move on to an automatic now.
She's just clicked over onto 80,000 miles and she's got a full service history (full bmw for the first 45,000 miles, specialist thereafter) and she's the best car I've ever owned.
I take out just to drive for the sheer pleasure of it; something I haven't done since I had a 205 gti 1.9 back in the early 2000's.
Anyway - these were taken right after I bought her last month. Horrible day weather-wise but a great day otherwise!
As you can see she's completely original and she'll continue to be so whilst she's our only family car. Once I get another car (not nec an E30- it'll be for the wife so who cares eh?) I'm going to either sell her and buy a 325 Touring (I'd love a Hartge but funds might not permit) turn that into a track day slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag or keep her and turn her into a trackday slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag!
Onwards!

This is the first post I've done with photos so it's pot luck if they come out!

Here's Mine! OK, its from the summer when we had enough daylight to do things like cleaning cars.

Page not found Mr Morat! And yes - I got it! best decision I've made in a long time! Wish it had been a 325 but it was the provenance of the car that was more important for me. Besides - at just over £500 I felt she was worth every penny!

tbh, you car is nice and clean - keep her! And stick an M50/M52 in there if you feel the urge. Better the devil you know and all thatoi_oi_savaloy wrote:Page not found Mr Morat! I love the Hartge rims/tyres, really chunky purposeful rubber! The stretch look is so... meh...

Tourings are definitely the way to go in my opinion. It's the small details, like fact that they don't rust compared to the saloons (due to being built on the 5 series line in a diff factory I think?) that means you can buy with a little more confidence today.
Plus I think they look a lot meaner once lowered; purposeful. Bloody love 'em!
Zimmer - I agree - I'd love to start adding some appropriate tech 2 goodies but I've got a second baby (not me, the wife has!) on the way - priorities lie elsewhere for the moment.....
Morat - agree - Hartge stuff is just right in my opinion.
Simon13 - I bought that ECU off you last weekend (already fucked it unfortunately - it was so dark in the room that I ended up prying off the wrong chip - I know I'm bell end, sorry - can I buy another one off you perhaps?) and can vouch for a) his cars, b) his spares, c) his ability - he was stripping an engine when I got there and d) bloody nice chap too
Studbeedo - that sunroof is effective (not in that it's dead good at keeping the rain out!) but taking the cover off makes the interior so much airier and lighter. Nice touch.
Fuzzy - my dad had a new Cosworth in 1987 (E525TCS) that he had Brodie Britain take to stage 4 I think, which at the time was effing quick. Got a website or thread on your car? I'd love to know more. We once went to Hungary in it and on the autobahn dad hit an indicated 156 and he wasn't even trying. Felt like 70. So, so quick. I think it might have gone quicker but he had me, mum , sister and all the luggage with him so caution over valour won the day.
Joe318i - clear indicator lenses do make such a difference to the lines of the car don't they? Where did you get them from?
Back to work!
