Wasn't this car in PBMW last summer? Just goes to show what horrors a tech-2 kit can conceal, nice to see you're doing a proper resto on this mate. Mauritius blue right?

That was another car, and was Macao Blue. I knew one of the previous owners of this, but didn't know the rust that it concealed  but like you said Tech 2 horrors

Looking good, how simple was it to smooth the badges?

i've heard, even if you weld plates, the bonnet one tends to crack due to all the heat under the bonnet.

I see its had "repairs" before to hide the rust judging by the filler.

I would take off the sill covers as well and look in there.

Good luck with it all and keep the pics coming.

Like Maj said; is probably dependant on where you are, though I doubt £500 will see you A nice long lasting quality job.

quite simple just welded plated were the original badge was then just a little fiber glass and filler also alot of harderner so the fill doesnt sink, done the same thing to my golf 5 yrs ago and still looks perfect

anybody can get a decent paint job to makje it look better but if you want a decent long lasting job you gotta pay more for it..
