Nice original convertibles and all E30's for that matter tend to be worth far more the counciled up, p40'd scap.

Mate if i was you i would give up, and probably delete this post if you can. Anything that is not standard on this forum takes abuse and gets the hitlers out of the closet, as we are all meant to be the same and not allowed to be different.

All you will get is the same old boring rubbish about council and halfords, but i do agree take there advice and look in the photo gallery, that way you can see what you need to see without a snipe being made every two replies. And probably learn alot more about people and there views on this forum. You will probably never post again.

This is not ALWAYS the case, take Bootymans for example, If it was still unmolested & standard i doubt it would be worth more than what it is now, even though he still wont recover all the money that he has lavished on it over the years.

But saying that unmolested Sports, Motorsports, M3's do command a premuim over molested varients...

I suppose it all comes down to the quality of work, choice of work, parts used, etc etc....

Did Pat manage to sell his M3? if he did im sure he must have got good money for it ....

For me If a modifier can save a car from the scrappy, im all for it, i know mine would have probably been scrapped or broken by now if I had not bought it as a project....

King cruiser I agree you need balance, (nice project you have by the way) and it is the only thing that lets this forum down, you have standard and you have modified, if all us modifiers where to be as simple minded as those with standard cars who jump on a post and start the slating every time a modified car is posted on this forum, this place would be even worse and seperated in a sense. Thankfully we are not all senseless, and some of us have more things to worry about on a daily basis than logging onto a forum to look for modded cars to slate, to entertain our day.

LOW E30, this lot on here always rips into Bootymans car and even get personal like he has actually gone out and killed a member of there family or soemthing its amazing Bootyman visited me a couple weeks ago, parked outside my house and told me he was waiting for me, i normally take an hour to get ready but had to throw clothes on as he was causing a road block on my road, by the time i came out, even the police where there, and could not resist stopping and looking at the car, and then talked to us for about 45mins. One of the officiers said he used to have a fully modded capri, and knew about Nos, turbos etc, a real eye opener for me, where i live as police never stop and talk and was hinting that he still races cars and builds engines in his spare time. No standard car will ever have that effect, whether you like bens car or not you have to stop and look, and thats his point its a show car, but some people on here are to narrow minded to see that.

Anyway just for kicks i thought i would upload these, should keep the haters busy for a couple of days and give them something to do, banging their heads into walls and smashing up their keyboards, i really do find them funny, lets see what childish immature comments they can create.

Lets get the record straight, i'm all for modified cars, my own car is modified ffs! Someone made a dig at people with standard E30's pollishing their bbs or some sh1t and i had to defend the standard camp as there is nothing wrong with it and my other E30 is in this catergory.

There are people who modify their car and then there are people who modify their car with taste, sadly the majority on here that do mod their car have no taste!

Some of the pics that Patm3 posted up are nicely modded subtle cars but some of the E46 grilled, fibre gash monstrosities are just wrong and notice how they are all on european or american plates.

Everyone has there own take on how to modify their cars, I for one prefer to take things off the car like badges, locks etc etc & go for the smooth look, & some folk prefer to add stuff to their cars, like spoilers, bumpers etc etc & may sometimes admitedly over do it...but each to their own.....

The way I see it, I go to Gaydon every year, & a fine day out it is, this is mainly down to the cars & the work put in by the owners, & the sheer array of cars involved from modified , to standard, to concourse, etc etc...If all cars were the same I doubt it would be such a good day out & doubt even more that i would go....

But to say that the majority of folk on here who modify their cars don't have taste is wrong.....What you mean is they dont have the same taste as you.

bss325i,Your e30 has a totally different take to the model as mine, but that doesnt mean that its right for me to say you have no taste? Ofcourse it doesnt, it just means our taste differs.....
