Did the front wheel bearings today. One side was a right pain. I couldnt get the new bearing back onto the hub to save my life - it was incredibly tight (yes i did make sure it was going on square several times!!) The other side was easy. One of the bearings had lots of play when it was on the car and just it literally just fell out when i took the hub not off - no force required at all :D

Im still getting a bit of grinding noise sometimes when i turn which i think could be the topmounts. I noticed that they were abit rough when we did the suspension but i've been waiting for a set of uwe topmounts for sale. Ive seriously been thinking of selling the car recently so i'll probably just get a set of normal ones. I have a turbo shaped itch that needs scratching

My tweeter pods have now got infinity tweeters in them too :D

I have thought about it mate, but the it'll be a nightmare to sell once ive done it for the amount i'd want for a tidy well specced 2.8 supercharged / turboed e30! And insurance could be a bit of an issue!

i would regret it without a doubt, but i fancy a turbo. i might just end up buying a new camera that ive got my eye on considering that the e30 is alot cheaper insurance than a ricer turbo!

I wouldnt mind a newer impreza, and my mate is keeping his for abit now too. If anything i think i would go for a imported nissan silvia s15 spec r turbo - cheaper to insure than the e30, more turbos than the e30 and more horsepower than the e30!

I've got next week off so the car is booked into the local bmw specialist to have the rear wheel bearings done.

The list of jobs for next week if the weather is any good -

Fit the new lock kit,
Fit the maplight mirror,
Fit the decent front door cards,
Fit the new airbox + make a bracket for it,
Fit the new lambda sensors,
Fit the new cam + crank sensors,
M50 manifold
Wash and wax it :D

And despite me looking like a bit of a tool heres a rolling shot that was taken on the way to the dyno day

I can't recommend dodo juice shampoo and collinite wax enough. The car hasn't been washed / polished for quite a while but the wax is simply epic. I've had so many people turning around to look at it becuase it looks so clean again :D

Cheers guys :D

All natural lighting lee. Just using a tripod + trial and error! I have lighting + camera flashes on my wishlist of bits i want. Infact the last two were taken in very VERY little light with about a 20 second exposure time (i think it was about that, i've taken about 120 photos tonight :chuckle:)

I'm going to have to look at the book on how to do long exposures on our Nikon as I want to do some night shots with the trailing of car lights. I only ever shoot with it on full auto :o:

A tripod is all you need really, but a remote can help just incase you knock the camera. Well worth having a play with the settings mate!

I'll do it if you want? I've got a bit of that wax left before i buy some more, and i've got a little bit of that shampoo left before i buy some more of that too!

I might be free towards the end of the week / weekend if thats any good?
