Only connected to a battery but they look smart enough, I will run them with an individual switch so it will still have standard sidelights for MOT etc

Loving everything but the angel eyes I'm afraid
I had them on my first E30 and really went off them, but as I always say mate, it's your car do it how you want it!
Amazing quality of work as always mate!

A lot of the angel eyes I have seen for E30's seem to be an off white almost yellow colour which I don't like and also the headlamp design just doesn't look right hence I wanted the standard smiley headlamp look and found white LED angel eyes to fit insideCypriotgeeza wrote: βWed May 04, 2022 7:06 pmMine were built in angel eye headlights..I loved them for a bit then really hated them

It's the 120mm ones you need if interested.

Yea mine had 4 501 sidelight bulbs in each, I remember once I fitted Led's for a cleaner white light but it looked terrible because the LED's were so bright it looked like 4 spot lights in each housingfixedwheelnut wrote: βThu May 05, 2022 10:44 pmA lot of the angel eyes I have seen for E30's seem to be an off white almost yellow colour which I don't like and also the headlamp design just doesn't look right hence I wanted the standard smiley headlamp look and found white LED angel eyes to fit insideCypriotgeeza wrote: βWed May 04, 2022 7:06 pmMine were built in angel eye headlights..I loved them for a bit then really hated them

Still slow going have to get some clay to check piston to valve clearance before getting a headgasket the correct thickness so I am just trying the E90 Brake servo & Master Cylinder set up on my E30 with M30 b3.5, as the clevis pin distance is shorter which would leave the brake pedal too low so investigating I found an option on an American forum, use an E28 clevis pin clamp which is longer and can be cut down to the right length and welded in to the E90 Servo.
I renewed the engine bay pipes anyway using;
34322283835 right pipe
34326755328 left pipe [which is actually a rear one but the right length to route to the T-Piece.]
34341111435 T-piece
two thread adapters available from Car Builder Solutions https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/brass-uni ... 0x1-female
I haven't fitted the engine yet but have heard I may need a 2002 reservoir to clear the air intake pipes so I will update as and when

Finally got it on the ramp to drop the rear axle and fuel tank, cleaned of the surface rust areas , treated the metal with Jenolite and then a coat of Por-15 before undersealing the underneath with Tera Shutz
Before

After

Ready for brake and fuel lines now.

Very nice work. I did the E90 servo and master cylinder conversion and I didn't end up shortening the clevis, I left it alone and it was roughly about right and just tweaked the bar adjustment behind the pedal box itself. I used a hardened bolt and spacers to get the right fit with the E30 linkages, so your method is a lot tidier in that regard.
It feels absolutely epic and I have also fitted Dan's 295mm big brake kit, my brakes are now sensational!

Good to know, I already have Mazda RX-7 four pot calipers upfront with the VW Corrado discs and they made a good improvement before, the main reason for the servo change was clearance for the heater hoses to the inlet manifoldrob0r wrote: βWed Aug 17, 2022 2:59 pmVery nice work. This week has been finishing up the M30 3.5 engine rebuild, JE Pistons for a 10:1 compression ratio, Shcrick Cam and followers, and the head ported by Hack Engineering, put together with ARP Head studs and a Multi-Layer-Steel headgasket.

Little update gradually getting closer engine, clutch and box together and mounted on the front subframe ready to go up, this engine is so big it was easier to go up from underneath on pallets

Sitting pretty

Mazda RX7 four pot calipers back on the front.

New rear brakes on

Propshaft and heatshield on.

Sitting much better with the weight back in it

Love this exhaust from Kevin at Zero Exhausts in Bethersden

Mart.

So near yet so far awaiting more coolant hose bends and shapes to complete the rerouting of hoses,
Having previously mounting the fan so neatly, with the engine out, with the engine now in it hits the crank pulley ffs so I have had to lift it 10mm and turn at a 30degree angle

Re-taped the loom and routed in position and fitted the bumper and spoiler

& test fit of air flow meter clearance to the master cylinder

This is why I ended up mounting my fan to the front of the rad and made it a push instead of a pull..way too little space in the engine bay as it is![]()
Progress looking good bro!

so I have designed a custom radiator, which Aaron radiators made for me and that holds a third more water and fits in front of the slam panel so I mounted the fan this side

Illness has slowed me down a bit lately but managed to complete the silicone hose plumbing so it avoids being squashed between the inlet manifold and the brake servo, also made some brackets to support them and prevent rubbing.

Also welded a small bracket to support the E36 M3 Header tank

and using the 318i style trunking to tidy the bulkhead wiring
