I have a compulsive purchasing disorder. I have two things left to finish this car off, rear cage and BC Coilovers to replace the H&R and I'm finding it so difficult to not just get a credit card out and just buy them (0% on purchases).

Showed that to Dan the other day, apparently an old style one without a harness bar so not worth bothering with.

Dan popped round to see me today in the car and took me for a spin around the block. The way the car goes and sounds is fantastic! The engine bay looks superb and the manifolds are turning a cool colour. I bet you can't wait to get it back! :D

Noooooo, you've been in my car before me, as the Meathead said that is really cruel......and the bloody radiator has gone pop and we're having trouble sourcing an alloy one so going to be even longer 'till I get it back.

Glad you were suitably impressed though :-) Bear in mind this is before a live remap. How is she braking with the bigger servo and 4 pots?

Two things left to do in the new year, rear cage and I've decided on AST 5200's for the suspension so they'll be some H&R Cup suspension up for sale.

Sorry mate that wasn't my intention. Dan pointed out the feel of the brake pedal i obviously didn't drive the car but the pedal felt very positive with not a lot of travel. I'm sure you'll get the radiator issue sorted soon and finally get to drive and hear it!

The direnza 55mm core alloy radiators are currently out of stock with most places.

Looks like dan has done a great job on the engine 8)

That's what I tried to get hold of but no luck and no word on delivery dates. I used Pro Alloy in the past but they're mega bucks. The other option is for Dan to get one built.

I have a Mishimoto e36 m3 rad in mine, it copes ok with the V10 I think it was about £230 delivered.

Yep, and the only reason it has a 34mm core is they are cheap and readily available!
Might end up welding two 32mm cores together at the moment as even a 50mm core is proving hard to locate in the needed size..

Lol, quite possibly, haven't driven it yet. It was never the plan to have have the 328 gearbox but the original e30 one was making a racket when hot, I thought I'd put the 3.64 in as I had it already, may need changing though, we shall see.

Dan's driven it so will know the answer

Good man - there was a lad at Spa last week with a m50b30 in his e36 (foxy on here I think) and it was going bloody well.

I'm booked on the Snetterton day with Javelin on 15th Nov, looking forward to getting it on track, not expecting too much from the suspension, still need to get Coilovers on it, hopefully brakes will be up to the job though!

I'm running same engine and box with 3.23 and that is just about comfortable at motorway speeds however would benefit from a 6th gear (a mod I'm planning at some point) the original ratio for your engine and box would have been about 2.98.

Okay cool, see how I get on, the only motorway driving will be to track and back, mainly trackday and country roads for this. Can't see me doing more than 1000 miles per year max

Dan Harborow has had the m52b30 engine he built for my car live mapped today and I have to say what a stunning result! Final figures 276hp and 264LBft, they managed to get it to 279hp but it produced less torque. The comparison map on the screen is of a modified 2.8.
