Jim when you finished with this would you consider swapping it for my Tech 1 Sport ? Though I would take the LSD (and the exhaust) with me as it is £££ and could swap with whatever is in your black Sport
?

Eeer no sorry mate......
Actually started this up for the first time since august last night. Needed a good jump start but sounded ok.
BSS325i gave it the once over last night and although it needs work, it got an approving nod from the e30 god himself !!! Result !!!

I'll tax it up in the new year, 1st of March. It's nothing special just a standard 2.5.

Yer, DS Black. The Dolphin one.....night after night of filling, sanding, priming. Going to be a good month I think, hoping for the body shop at the end of January.

Ha ha, yer it is a bit , weather doesn't help eigher, it's been really cold out there. But it's getting there and the shell is looking much better, a few more days and none of the welds will not be visible at all.
Getting the old pin stripes off seems a bit tricky, anyone got any tips ?
Cheers.

I did the razor blade tip yesterday on the pin stripes, worked really well, thanks for that
No worries mate.. Like I said, if you're snowed under with it, and could use an extra pair of hands you know where I am!jimbom30cab wrote:I did the razor blade tip yesterday on the pin stripes, worked really well, thanks for that

Am well happy today, did a quick 4 hour round trip after work to visit Gordon to collect a lovely bonnet and then collected this and now it's finally fully road legal drove it home. Well pleased, it's been a killer having it since August and not using it.
Few issues to sort out....as always
Thermostat is stuck open
Coolant float switch is u/s
Brakes are really spongy
Seat stuck in the fully lowered position
Needs new battery
Hope to get these done at the weekend and then press it into daily use

New thermostat fitted
Replaced u/s window switch and u/s mirror switch
Replaced u/s coolant tank float switch
Topped up clutch fluid as it was DRY and it all p1ssed over the carpet. Looks like the connection from the little reservoir is broken or come off the master cylinder. Luckily I have a spare thanks to BSS325i and a spare carpet !!
The radiator hose from the top going down the right side of the engine has a mega crack so need to replace that also.
