Well I cant really tell how they match as Iv never seen good condition shadowline, mine was horrible. I just used satin black paint and they look absolutely excellent

Sorted that hideous dent where some pen1s pushed the car with a forklift

Tomorrows task is repainting the engine properly so i can mask over that, put the kit on then finish sanding

I've done the same over at my folks' place, on their granite blocks - it gets eroded off by the weather, eventually! :wink:

Try a wire brush on it, maybe with some thinners or paint-stripper. :wink:

Got a few more pics to upload. Skirts are primered, been attacking my vents and grilles with satin black. Cars not going to be as ghetto as assumed i think

You havent seen what i use :/ . the garden table , chairs , old bonnet proped up by allsorts . Many more lol .

Verde what tools are you using to paint? The rocker cover seems to have came up well. Did you use some kind of heat resitant paint?

I am about to paint the rocker and inlet on mine so any tips would be good.

This is why i was writing an engine bay guide but everyone ripped shit into it.

All I used was a spray can. Iv been painting for years so its just practice. Il be re-coating it aso i guess i could rewrite the guide.

Just make sure youve got the cover clean of all grease dirt and shit, prime it, then apply nice even coats of colour.

It was supposed to be valentines day, very angry it was cancelled.


A load of guys on here didnt use heat resistant paint which bewildered my but apparently its not needed :S
