Painted up and got my coils installed, very pleased with them

Sorted that hideous dent where some pen1s pushed the car with a forklift

Tomorrows task is repainting the engine properly so i can mask over that, put the kit on then finish sanding

I've done the same over at my folks' place, on their granite blocks - it gets eroded off by the weather, eventually!

Try a wire brush on it, maybe with some thinners or paint-stripper.

Verde what tools are you using to paint? The rocker cover seems to have came up well. Did you use some kind of heat resitant paint?
I am about to paint the rocker and inlet on mine so any tips would be good.

This is why i was writing an engine bay guide but everyone ripped shit into it.Rtaylor2208 wrote:Verde what tools are you using to paint? The rocker cover seems to have came up well. Did you use some kind of heat resitant paint?

All I used was a spray can. Iv been painting for years so its just practice. Il be re-coating it aso i guess i could rewrite the guide.
Just make sure youve got the cover clean of all grease dirt and shit, prime it, then apply nice even coats of colour.

Ideally you should use heat paint really, rocker cover does get warm and you don't want the paint flaking.Rtaylor2208 wrote:Did you use some kind of heat resitant paint?
