I've been to exeter today in my iS funnily enough though! Didnt see any e30's in exeter. Saw quite alot today though around torbay!

Todays verdict - I need an s50 stainless exhaust system in my life.

Yeah and i saw a red chromie with red grills on the way home, a black tech 2 with sport kit (looked VERY nice, ive seen it around before). Wasn't a half bad meet though! I still can't get over daves exhaust though. its nothing short of pure 24v sex!

It's an impressive beastie and sounds good too. I can easily imagine Cook318IS's frustration at having to wait to get it insured. If it were me, I'd be dying to blip the throttle and terrify the daylights out of the old ladies around the bay as well as showing the local chavs a thing or two :teehee:
if you see me in in a calypso red 320 moredore with horrific wheels! Give us a wave! Good work chaps
Come over to the coast sometime and we can compare horrific wheels :chuckle: To be fair, I'm using a set of 14" bottletops kindly lent while I'm refurbing mine. I never thought there was anything wrong with bottletops before, but they just don't look right on my car or feel right for that matter. If I didn't have them though, I'd have to use my Stagecoach pass, so I'm extremely grateful.

you can only get away with the M50 etc air box if you don't have ABS, otherwise you have to suffer a cone filter

Good job that i haven't got ABS then :D

Fitted the strut brace (although i'll probably paint it at some point), rear bench and the black parcel shelf with blind. Still got a few odd jobs to do though mind.

Photo time!!!

clearance ftw

Aye! its a beautiful song it makes!

My mate "roughly" worked it out. i've got an app on my iphone which works it out spot on as well as telling you loads of other stuff. I'll fill up tommorow and find out properly. I think its overfuelling a little bit too. I changed the ripspeed air filter for a universal k+n jobbie rated up to 215bhp (despite being tiny :? ) and i think its not quite as bad on fuel...

I've thought about an itg air filter, but i still want an airbox for that stock look though. But then i've also considered making up my own carbon fibre airbox... decisions :-x

I think a standard airbox will be best for the OEM look :)

I might actually resolve my crap induction system now that I actually have an engine that's in working order! It's only the 4th engine! :o:

Bit off topic but i currently have a list off all the parts needed for a 24v conversion in front of me, and had a decent ish quote to start fitting one into the IS this time next year ready for feb 2011 when i have 3yrs no claims.

i was under the impression m50 was single vanos and m52 twin or are some m50's non vanos :D
