With the help of a fellow zoner gcs325 it wasnt to bad a job to do.
We had a couple of nuts that where a b**ch but that was about it.
I'm very happy with the front setup now just the back to do when fund allow.Think the next thing is an lsd though could have done with one today.
All in all been a productive weekend as we also swapped gsc325 swing arm.

How could i have missed this thread, especially considering you nicked my styling mod with the stripes winkeye Nah, jus kidding. I can't take credit for the stripes anyway as it was on the car when i bought it! I was going to nick your idea with the german colours on the grille but didn't. think that definitely looks good and gives the car a very aggressive look.

Car's looking very nice, and funnily enough i also now have a dolphin grey 4door (lpg'd 325i SE) that might be getting tech 2'd. If it does, then my 9j borbets may go on that...definitely change the look of a car.

Think the tech 1 spoiler works well on these dark colours with the tech 2 kit. I might try without a spoiler 1st to see how it looks...i've seen it done on 2doors and it looks good on the saloons, but not seen it done on a 4door.

How is the hot tuning suspension setup? I'll need to lower the front on mine if i tech 2 it, and would be nice to know how soft/hard the hottuning suspension is.

The suspension is very good imo but i have lost a bit of comfort(to be expected i suppose)its fine on normal roads but can be a bit harsh on the country roads.
I did have a look at the car without a spoiler fitted but opted for the tech 1,am also going with tech 1 sideskirts

Just updating my thread as have a few more jobs completed with the help of gcs325.

The comfort leathers gone and been replaced with grey cloth sports interior but is likely to be change again soon for black leather sports interior.

Finally got the reverse lights working(thanks to gcs325i) by fitting a new switch(what a pita of a job)

Also fitted the Z3 shortshift bought from a fellow zoner and if you dont already have one i would highly recommend it,totally transforms the driving experience for not alot of money.

Fitted the rs2000 engine mounts that have been talked about on here and they work well.We also did the gearbox mounts.

I had bought a new bmw steering guibo to fit to the linkage then a solid one went up for sale on here so bought and fitted that instead.

I have a complete rear end setup thats being refurb'ed at the moment to go on soon. This will have new wheel bearings, poly bushed trailing arms and poly rear beam bushes, poly diff bush and 5 coats of hammerite.
With the work already done this might make the ride abit harsh but the car is only a weekend toy so i can live with that.

The 4 door has had yet another interior fitted .
The cloth interior that went in recently only stayed for a couple of weeks and is now for sale as i found a black leather one to replace it.

Got started getting the poly bushed rear beam ready to swap over.
The trailing arms will be done once we can get the nut loose as it would not budge tonight.

She has had a fair bit of money, time and love throwing at her tho.But shes not to far away from being finished now.

Did you ever find the pics of when you had her Andy?

Need some opinions guys.

I i have finally found a replacement 9j for the buckled one i have(thanks james3320) but it has a black center and silver dish.
So do i do the rest with black centers or all black or paint the black one silver to match the rest.

Had a go on photoshop to see what would look best but i'm still unsure.
I'm not liking the all black atm

I tried to do one with polished lips black centers and silver center caps but it was beyond my photoshop ability's.

There's plenty of room there for the cabby as well.
It sure does beat having to doing everything outdoors in all weathers Jake.
