Finally an update peeps!
The weather finally decided to behave itself long enough for me to get some more work done on the beast!
Got the wishbones and bushes all done and fitted :
Old compared to new M3 bushes

These had definantly seen better days!

Getting them on the wishbones

Sorted out the knackered link arms too!

And on the car

Also had some good news during the week regarding my insurance as one of the guys who hit me has admitted liability so hopefully normal service should be resumed soon with the insurance and then this will finally be insured and road legal!

Finally an update!
Firstly want to start of by saying Hope everyone had a good and relaxing Christmas..
I've been busy buying presents..mainly for myself

Merry Christmas to me
:D

Wanted one of these bad boys for as long as i can remember. . it didnt come without its flaws though:

So I got to removing the snapped bolt and making it right

Next I thought id try a bit of black silicon to patch up the crack..Not bad if you ask me..will be hard to see once its on the car

So i was browsing the net the other night and FINALLY came across my holy grail of items which i have been looking for for the best part of the last 4 years

Can you guess what it is yet. . ?

So as you do i retreated to my garage, got the heater on and spent the best part of Christmas eve/day cleaning up the ITB's and Airbox:
(Nice little artsy pic by my little sis)

These boots have definitely seen better days

Fresh ones are on order
Intake Manifold Resonance Flap Control:

Getting it ready for paint

Started giving the ITB's a good clean and also prepping it for paint

Parts list is getting ticked off one by one but i know there is still a few things i need to get this on the engine so no major rush for now..
Anybody still watching?

That airbox is from an S38 M5 e34. you might have problems with the bonnet closing.
I would test fit it first, as iirc, you might need to shave off the top a bit.

So this happened last night! !

(i think the rendering killed the quality of the vid as its really grainy
)
5 Years after i started the M30 adventure the time finally came to take her for a spin (Yes its FINALLYYYYY insured taxed and tested)
Still cant believe it myself!
It drove like a dream!
It was a struggle keeping it in a straight line with the 14" BBS'
Sounds like a "munster"
and instantly put a smile on my face!!
The exhaust is still the" attract the wrong kind of attention loud" but will have to do until I can get something made up!

What a machine the E30 is now! Feels and sounds as it should! Only engine that would tempt me other than the M30 is an S engine or the V8!

I always thought the m30 was so good because it so obviously felt like the engine was way too punchy for a smallish car, used to make me laugh! The m52 is very good but it feels like it should be there where as the m30 was just hilarious
