Thanks
I've got Style 5 wheels to go on, 8j and 9j. Interior will be standard Motorsport spec but dyed red I think.
Black carpet, dash and centre consoles.
I think if I did it all red it would be too much.

Nice combo.
You can never have too much red!
I will look good with the black carpet and consoles though.
Full Motorsport spec? So the extended leather option with the stitched door cards and consoles, intake it from that Macau scrapper?
Just a tip, when dying go for a Matt finish as that's how the leather, especially the napa leather in Motorsports was when new, not none of that satin or gloss wrongness that just makes it look like shiney old worn leather.
And strip the seats down as much as possible so you get the colour in every little crevice.
A badly dyed interior can make or brake a car and on a cabby it's on view much more!

I think a bit of black will give it a good contrast. I've 2 carpets in stock so can try both red and black.
Will be getting a kit from furniture clinic for the dye. Matt will look better too.
Yes full extended leather as per motorsports. Thinking about getting the dash done in Leather but not sure.
I need non ripped interior to start with so on the look out for one. Preferably in a light colour so it dyes better.
Got to get some tyres for the wheels now, I'm thinking Continentals.

I'll need very good tyres for maximum grip, going to be fun
It's ripped on the drivers side bolster and cracked through. 2 front seats is what I need, the rest is okay.

red and black is good Imy. i have Cardinal Red in my Convertible, with red carpet, black front seat bolsters, black dash and consoles obv. and black door pulls and pockets. just about the right combo imo. i have the extended leathers too, door cards, rear cards, and consoles (inc. ash-trays), but i have yet to spruce them up/dye them, so will be interested to see your work with the Furniture Clinic gear

I did think about doing it all red, including the dashboard and rear horseshoe cover but thought that might be a bit OTT.
I'm going to order the stuff after i've picked up the car so hopefully get to tackle it next weekend
Probably go with Barry's idea of stripped/breaking down the seats so the dye covers the old colour fully.
Now I just need to find 2 front un-ripped seats

Id you are using the rest of the motorsport interior then you will need a pair of seats from a motorsport or M3 with the extended leather option as they are nappa leather where as normal cabrio leather is different.
If its just the bolsters that are ripped then replace just them, not the whole seat as you will be stripping them to dye them anyway.
Trev might still have some as he broke a motorsport cabrio a while back.

Thanks for that info, didn't know the leather was different
I'll give Trev a shout, it's just the drivers side bolster as usual that's ripped.

Well after 5 months away, she finally arrived back home:

Tidier engine bay, still needs work on it though:

Time to get started on the bits to finish it off now. First up was to put the BBS Style 5's on. I needed tyres so I went for 215/45/17 front (8j) and 235/40/17 rear (9j). I went for continental sport contacts, 3 on the back and 5 on the front.
New rubber

On the car:

Need to drop the rear end, it's way too high. Front is about perfect
Swapped over the hood whilst I was working on it, it's a brand new hood, the blue goes well with the white:

That's all for now
