I was looking for the older style for about 6 months, then this came up for sale

bloody hard to get a Hartge steering wheel and they are never 'cheap' I would love some Hartge clocks it would finish the interior nicely !

bit more progress today

after searching worldwide for red leather and finding worn out shite,

I opted to go for Black , finding immaculate leather is getting very very hard to find and then BSS325i (barry) came to the rescue

after a 500 mile round trip to collect today I have them fitted

it looks stunning I am very impressed ! just need to go collect the door cards tommorow and the interior is 99% done.

no arse wear here

almost done fitting the trim looks much better

engine bay almost finished ,after looking at Barrys engine bay today I will have to get new washer/header tanks

Leather looks brand new Steve! nice find

Must bob over at some point and have a look, works manic at the mo and i've been in holland for the last couple of weeks. It'll have to be in the plastic surrender monkey mind as the sports on sorn now

Glad your happy with the seats and yes new washer/coolant tanks make a massive imrovement to the bay.

thinking about this my self.. can you still get them for the tech1 ? i know the washer bottle will be the same but the header tank wont be

looking very nice, very nice indeed, +1 for the new washer bottle and header tank, they will make a real difference to the look of the finished engine bay.

Jim has been over drooling on my paintwork , he seems to think his tech 1 will dust it at the pod ? ,we will see

it's nice to have compliments, it almost justifies the hard work,time and effort that's gone into it ,not to mention most of my spare cash

Also your making me want to get my arse into gear and get the gold Alpina striping kit fitted and the side skirts off too.

What silver is it buddy btw? It is Polaris like mine or is that Sterlin Silver?

It'll be sterling Dan, as it's a facelift car. Polaris didn't even last up until the facelift iirc. Very similar colours though - many people spray their wheels polaris as it is close to OE 'felgensilber', and I happened to have a rattle can of sterling and used it on my BBS plastic centres and they are a good match (obviously on BBS, colour match isn't so important as there are so many surfaces and shadows etc).

well i finally got around to doing a few bit's/making a start underneath

something i don't enjoy but it has to be done !
the front inners are totally rust free but have lots of waxoil on !
should they be the same colour as the bodywork ?

oh , and the final parts were collected from the paintshop now it almost looks like a car !

I love the Hartge rear spoiler, it's so council it's pretty cool

I have a bonnet !

Hartge front spoiler temp fitted, think i should use some black Aluminium mesh behind the vents? I don't like the way you can see the origional valance behind it

I will be cleaning out the inners to re-wax oil,
not sure what colour wax oil to get from the stealers ? IIRC they do black ,grey and clear?
