the bit that is meant to clip in here is missing, not sure what it is.

it should sit in the middle of the box spanner, and you can see where it is meant to clip in place.

There's nothing supposed to fit there, not in the 325i anyway, that toolkit has everything it's supposed to have. :D

The bar for the sparkplug socket in the pic is sat next to it, I very much you'd get anything to go through the middle of the box socket anyway!!

i wasn't sure what the hell was meant to be their either, but it look slike there is space to clip something in there. can't imagine they'd mould it in the design if there wasn't something to go their at some point in time, on one of the models. maybe a cab thing.

The 9" look mega wide from the back. I think 8J is actually 7.5" wide but I'm not 100% so the Keskins are quite a bit wider.

The rear wheels are ET20 offset and the fronts are ET15 with a width of 7.5".

Gareth, is that extension BMW one? It doesn't show on ETK, I always wondered what BMW intended to put there years ago.

Chris, I believe the 'plug' is convertible only, I put the bulb there as it's always handy to have a spare.

Simon/Chris,

The screw driver 4mm allen key is in the tool kits on both my convertibles. Its a BMW item.

That plastic thing, we think is something to do with spark plugs. I was in discussion with Andrew from WLN autos at Gaydon. They are rare, at least I think they are, Iv'e not seen many.(in fact only two)

But I could be wrong!.

It kills me when I see people with a spare bulb there!.

cool mate

took me about 10 hours and about 5 pints of sweat (which were replaced with frosty cold beer). alot of effort but it was well worth it, if it is done right and you leave it to dry before buffing then it comes off really easily compared to some polishes i have used in the past.

They're still slightly stretched on but not so extreme as the 205's.
do you still have the old tyres dude?
