As Dan said I sold it to a guy on the Isle of Man, it now gets a regular pasting around the TT mountain course

I do miss it immensely but just couldn't afford the fuel consumption now.

Cheers,

Absolutely stunning Iain and a real testament to your hard work!!

My heart hopes that one day my old touring shed will maybe look like yours, but my head (wallet) knows this probably won't happen.

Please could you let me know what the suspension drop is as your car sits absolutely spot on.

Thanks
Andy

This was sat on H&R touring springs, not sure of the drop think it might have been 45/30 ish. It wasn't the cup kit anyway just the H&R springs with Koni adjustable dampers and H&R anti roll bars.

Ride was comfortable and cornered nice and flat.

Cheers,

Thanks for letting me know Iain.

My winter project is to renew all of the suspension and bushes. As the car is my daily and used to ferry kids and heavy stuff around, I need to make sure that I have a balance between practical and sporty set up for when I need it.

Thanks again
Andy

In that case Andy I'd recommend avoiding poly bushes. Despite the claims they do give considerably more road noise.

The eccentric M3 bushes from the BMW dealer are the ones to have, very good handling with minimal road noise, cheaper than you think too at around £20 for the set.

Part number is 31129061222 (Set rubber mounting eccentric), that number is for a pair.

I also fitted all new rubber bushes to the rear as well, genuine is best, the aftermarket stuff just doesn't seem to last.

Cheers,

Iain T
