Gortour i'm having Diddy Sounds one but thanks for the offer!

Neil whats the tailgate like?!

mine is ok but starting to go on the seals underneath and it has a small dent which annoys me by the 325i badge!

I sorted the rattling tailgate yesterday aswell, it didn't go well with the "sporty" ride!

It's certainly a ring slag and will be present on the next trip :D Would be good if u could make it mate, it's a great laugh had by all!

I've just won a touring boot tray :D 30 notes thankyou!

Thanks v much Simon for that list just bought my first 325i Sport and Im after a thorough service as the car came with no history and Im preparing for the ring in Easter, plus Im clueless about car mechanics etc as I used to just take my S3 to the dealers (when I was rich) and just leave it with them!

Im guessing that the guy who complained about the graffiti has never been to the ring as if you had you'd know that was a v common thing out there and Ive never seen it frowned upon.

Looks nice ... but I would seriously change the head bolts from the old hex head ones. I had the head break off one of mine and it went under the cam. punching a hole clear through the bottom of the head.
Heard you can do them 1 by 1 instead of taking the head off.

no don't say that! another job

the list is quite good on this car

replace front wings, valance, luckily i have some in the right colour too

leaking fuel tank- no more than 50 litres so this limits me to 300miles

abs not working

Needs an instrument cluster

needs a glove box

front speakers don't work!

replace centre prop bearing as it's starting to bang on the transmission tunnel going round left hand bends!

joys of 220k car i suppose. I've seen a few nice tourings pop up for good money the forum in good specs! i would of liked a different colour i have had 3 lachs silver E30's in a row now!

shes back! after a months lay off fixing problems some self inflicted some not! lol

new wings, bonnet, valance fogs fitted, front lip sprayed up properly (cheers Dips)
all secondhand but much better than what was on there! no wings full of filler!

retro fitted cruise control and heated seats, changed the door cards to match the interior, loads of other bits i can't remember aswell

I've switched to my 15bbs with 205/50/15 tyres which have dropped it even more, i'm finally admitting it's too low now! So i think i'm going to have to do something about it :(

Image

Scorpion system has returned to the fold with my Racing Dynamics 6 branch, sounds much better than the btb ones imo. Those who remember the GUG will know the noise this makes!

but i'm a bit tight for clearance underneath, centre box is about 3 inches off the ground :?

A wash wouldn't go a miss either as the last one was before Christmas!

Looking good Simon, few more miles and you'll catch up with me,i'm currently on 235,000,though sadly not the same engine now.

Don't wash it,they look great filthy :D
Mine was a nice shade of brown until recently, looks fab clean, but much better as a dirty slag!

Oh,and also your cars like mine now,as soon as you have rear passengers the exhaust scrapes,I think my shocks are shagged though, you'll find yourself raising yourself in the seat over bumps!

i have 2 speed humps on my road and it's rubbing yes! even dinged off a drain hole cover earlier!

Don't worry i'm working on ideas on how to get that exhaust up higher

I think it looks better on the bbs myself

She looks spot on, that low dude 8) The alpina's give it a different look tbh, compared with the bbs...Both sweet tho :)

Did you get the centre prop bearing fixed yet?? that sounds very similar to the noise i'm getting at the mo too.

Now that's looking like a proper S1ag now - i'll be joining you very soon Si with the Black one - got the metal front bumper on, 2 piece front panel + c2 Alpina front skirt on it - yep, you know the one

Orders have been passed down from the boss and "NO" more work to be done on the drivway now unless it's to finish my car  so what with the good weather coming and my new angle grinder blades - i'll be having a bag load of fun lightening it up for the Ring next year.

Pics to follow winkeye

update! Car is behaving it seems, ring prep is truly on the way, replaced the centre prop bearing today along with the big rubber bush up by the gearbox- i hate this job!

just have LSD,brakes to sort and rear hartge anti roll bar to go on now!

I managed to get my breyton rear valance on today aswell, i foookin love it! i've took the 325i badge off and fitted the legend that is Racing Dynamics on the back

What do we think? I think it's there looks wise now, cant wait to hammer the slag round the ring now!

Looking good SImon, not keen on the RD rear badge though :?

Looks similar to my Lachs silver Touring winkeye

Mine had a similar looking drop with Eibach coupe springs, she's now wearing H&R springs and ARB's, much better

I've got a bit of paint to do on the front valance where someone's bashed it (Beardymat straightened it out for me today). Other than that the bodywork is bloody excellent.

Keep up the good work

Cheers,

Iain T

RD badge rules!

And it does have a RD flavour with the manifold, strut brace and steering wheel.

but.....i did like the look with no rear badge but i think i will leave it on.

Ian i would of bought that wagon of yours if i had had the money when i was looking for one, i'm sure it would of been less work than getting this mega milege one into half decent shape

Max they were odd! but i found the other smoked one the other day so i have matching side repeaters now lol keen eyes eh winkeye
