Amazing work, respect !
That joint needs the rubber thing in between. With it, the joints will be in correct phase to one another, and the change in rotation speed will be cancelled out. Bit difficult to explain with my english skills..jasso wrote:e46 purple tag steering rack fitted and modded the steering knucle to suit

Interesting project despite my hatred for diesels.
Did the E30 BBS caps fit straight onto the 16" BBS?

Don't see no issues at all as it the same as e34 solid link except the 2 parts are bolted together with self lockers plus the rubber is merly a guibo to take out vibration and to act as a impact point if you had a head on crash.Jarno wrote:That joint needs the rubber thing in between. No I had a spare set of e34 plastic weave caps cut the centre hex out and used the e30 aluminium weave with abit of moddingbss325i wrote:Interesting project despite my hatred for diesels.

Forgot to add exhaust has been made, I made the downpipe from 2.5" stainless steel using mandral bends and then got the rest made up from a exhaust company using the 330d standard backbox running twin 2" pipework from the downpipe to the backbox

It would look good with a downswept tip on the exhuast eveb if it is usually the lesser power dervs that have the down swept tip.

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

How much you reckon this swap has cost you so far in parts?
I am looking to get this job done too. Big Bavarian Beauties say that they can.
I love what you are doing and I commend you girls the efforts you are putting into the project. Fantastic.
I'm just trying to budget for it if you don't mind assisting me..
Thank you so much.

Ok so the welding guy has come back to me with a price of 300 - 350 to weld the following 2 sills complete, back pannel, under the headlights, 5p hole on the driver footwell and rust in the corner of thepassenger footwell.
