I was exaggerating about the 50p. It's more like a 10p I think..

Brave. I'd probably rather admit to putting minced kittens in horsemeat burgers..bab-91 wrote:You don't know the half of it. Captain OEM used to drive a blacked out astra with angel eyes and hella rear lights + bangin konig rimz to boot.

I've channeled my wrongness away from raping kittens into my houndstooth fetish.

I haven't had time to do much. Dyed my parcel shelf with autogylm fabric dye. After many coats I'm on my third tin and it's not staying black. Going to give suede dye a go....
But to make up for the lack of progress I bought myself a prezzie to cheer myself up
(spot the dog!)

Mr Dave also sold me a new interior, recaro LS's + replacement houndstooth covers!

The passenger side seat base seemed bent when I unwrapped them. It wasn't until I put the seat in the car that I realised how bad it was. The back of the seat is riding 6 inches higher than the front. That will teach me for not forking out for insurance
So I will be rebuilding both seats in the near future.
Kos has been a complete hero with the recaro's and did alot of the running work for me.
Not yet chap. Car is in a nice warm garage and the rust can eat into that arch as much as it pleases as I'm warming to the idea of getting it seen to rather soon.

I seen the length of the thread and bookmarked it for a day I could sit down and go through it. I went though the first link 'capital seating' and I couldn't see recaro LS's.

I doubt the fetish could get worse with encouragement...
Although a houndstooth suit would be b!tching
I bought the heated seat elements for the sports seats.
They will be fine going into the recaro's?

No a suit made out of the actual bmw-oem-rightness houndstooth cloth!

A bmw tech one sport is much like a beautiful woman, you stand back and admire and lust after great lines from the outside but on the inside, she hides her rough dirty side which all e30 peados love

I've been told of someone that might have some Recaro frames knocking about, PM me if you want some more info.
Alot of the parts are NLA Robertbab-91 wrote:Unfortunately so! Although it gives me an excuse to rebuilt the seats!!
I'm going to price recaro parts through bm but they could be extortionate, you will have PM shortly!
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.
Like Ferg says, there isn't much available. Just a couple of handles and the cover I chucked in.

What parts are bent? One of my seats had seen some serious pie eater action and had broke the suport wings on the back, but this is a relitively easy repair.
You got any pics of where and how bent it is. Whilst not ideal, with a bit perserverence metal can be put back to its original shape.

The rails. How they managed it..... I don't know. Also one of the support wings but I was expecting them to be broke from reading the recaro thread.
I'll try to get some pictures up Byron. I had considered just bending them back but for the severity of the bend it will never be straight.
I'm sitting making my parts list at the moment. So I'll get in touch with bmw tomorrow and make sure all parts are NLA.

I cast an eye over the fabled Tech I yesterday and can report it is a lovely thing indeed. The stash of houndstooth is an eye-opener too!
On the seats, my best guess is that a hydraulic tail lift or something similar was lowered onto the left hand side of one of them during transit. That whole side of the base is crushed/distorted, from the bolster through to the rail below - definitely not just a bit of casual rough handling...
