Cheers man!timmzey wrote:The more I see that headlining against them seats, the more I think how cool it looks!
My headlining in the tourer is getting abit messy as I think it was dyed black, but might consider a retrim if i can find some nice 'alternative' fabric.
Awesome
Get it done
It's not as hard as it gets made out to be.
You can do it in a weekend
I'm hoping to get the new sunroof pannel in soon and then I can put the sunroof liner in.
Looks half finished with a big hole in the middle.

Hello again!
After asking for zone advice and recommendations on winter tyres on another thread I finally sorted my self out with some winter rubber for my bbs.
I'm going to keep these as winter wheels now and maybe have them re-furnished in the summer so they can look smart all next cold season.
I have gone and ordered my self a set of deep steel wheels from a firm called extreme offset wheels and they are making me a set up to fit the e30 for my spring and summer driving.
Here are the bbs with veredestien snow track 3 tyres.

They certainly look like they should hold the road pretty well.

how hard is it to pull down all the head lining and re-do it?

It's not too hard to get the head lining board down man. If I can do it I'm sure any one on here can.benurminge wrote:that head lining is incredibly cool! and what you done with the leather seats was awesome, such a good colour. best interior i seen.

The hardest bit is the fixing around the sun roof.
You need to remove all te pillar trims.
Remove the sun roof liner and pannel.
Then the grab handles and the 4 screws around the top of the sun roof, drop it down and slide it out the back of the car.
There a couple of clips at the back of the board and some hook like fixings in the middle but you just pull them and they release.
A google search or fourum search on here should be able To provide some good pics and guides on all this.
Good luck and thanks for the comment

Not too much progress. Just lots of hording and buying things ready to fit in the future when the weather is a tad nicer.
First of all ive got some new wheels for the car.
I am big fan of deep dish steel wheels. i also love the old school style 5 spoke wellers but I wanted something 16" after failing to find some to re-furb that would fit the e30 in 16" I came across a company called extreem offset wheels who produce many different styles of steel wheel to any spec you want (mainly for off roading) and after a long phone call i put in an order for these.
£260 to my door, gun metal grey: 16 inch, 8J, ET0.

When me and my dad over hauled the car last easter I replaced all of springs and shocks with the JOM coilover kit and im not too happy with it. It doesnt feel firm enough for what I like. So ive poped some lowering springs on the back and replaced the shacks with bilstien B8 units and some polish pollybushed topmounts.

I have also built up some front coilovers using bilstien B8 shocks, components off rally-designs and some polish top mounts.
I also have a strut brace that i bought second hand off here to fit too.
Went on a little trip down to Sheffield to visit sweep off here and bought some more legs to work with. they came with some calipers and drilled and grooved discs.
Nice bloke to talk too and he has a good selection of parts and a well set up yard. I can highly recommend dealing with him for any of your bits and bobs you may need.
(please excuse the working farmer style garage mess)

Ive had the calipers re conditioned with new everything. ready to fit

Sorted a new set of fogs ready to fit and modified the Volvo chin ive had for aaaages.

last one!
Got my self well armed for a tad of rust tackling for when the weather heats up. Bought my self a die grinder to run off the compressor and an assortment of wire wheels for getting in all the nooks and crannies. gonna also buy some ???taradox??? for treating bits before sealing or painting or whatever.

Also gonna have another go a fitting these stooopid pattern wings again. Then get the paint sorted hopefully.
And then i want to do an engine conversion but all the reading up ive been doing on them is boggling my mind
as always p1ss taking, criticism and advice more than welcome guys.

I really like that! And top work on the seats. If it helps the guy at Gliptone can supply a matching dye you can use on vinyl! Used it on my Corrado to good effect.

I did contemplate matching door cards but I'm happy with the black ones for now.
If I was to do them one day I'd want to try it on some grey ones, I don't want to risk ruining these.

Hey guys!
Great news. She passed her MOT with flying colours and no advisories.
I'm pretty chuffed.
She has also had a brand new set of propper lemforder track control arms.
I just want to make a big deal out of the packaging they come in. They each come in a propper lemforder carrier bag thing. That made my day. My days must be pretty shitty.

Next thing. I got a few pics of the wheels on and the new suspension set up on.
I'm pretty pissed off and upset and I should of done some more reading up and I feel like a right nin.
At the height I want the front of the car I only have about 20mm of travel left. I don't like that. Also on full lock my tyres rub on the bulkhead slightly.
So new slightly lower profile tyres for the front are needed and I'm going to do the corrado G60 front shock job and cut and shorten my struts 2".
(Anyone want a set of hardley used B8 shocks send me a pm or they will be up on the for sale section soon.)
A few pics of the wheels on for those who were asking
I wish they were on permanently.

Sorry not sorry for image quality.
Please feel free to advise me and/or take the piss.
Cheers for looking
