Good work. I like the blue. Think it would work well with the updated lights.

The inner arches are genuine from BMW, don't think anyone else makes them. I asked about discount for the pair and was told they can only offer it to traders, but once I confirmed the parts I wanted in an email they send, I called them to place the order and the guy knocked off 10% because I lived near to him. Cost me about £190 for the pair. The outer panels I got from Carz2 website.
Got until spring to decide on a colour for the car. Currently looking at some of the metallic browns and golds that BMW have done, a bit more of a retro feel.

Thanks guys. G-Bear, Just make sure you've got all day free and I wouldn't suggest doing it on a Sunday if you need your car for work like me. I didn't drain the engine because the bolt was too tricky to get to behind the mainfold. Felt like enough coolant came out anyway (est. 8-10 litres). I re-filled it through the expansion chamber and topped it up in one of the highest tubes. Not sure how you measure the water level in an E30. Think that's my next search...

Cheers. I bought the kit during christmas. But have been holding back partly for it to get warmer but more so so the days are longer, as I figured I'll need all the time of daylight there is to get the job done.

Yep, thats a water pump polsta.
and it cost around £45 pounds from ECP probably a bit less through Meatballs on here. Although looking through my email order. It appears he's given me the £25 job one... I hope the holds up okay.. I just specified having one with a metal impeller as opposed to plastic..
I think I paid about £30+Vat for a contitech belt kit. I take it its for your tech 1?

Been doing a few bits and pieces, pics to follow soon.
I bought a rear subframe off ebay to clean up and it's got Powerflex bushes fitted.
Not bad for £20, a pity I'd just bought some standard bushes too.

[/quote]I'm planning on a respray for this summer, what's this colour? its Great... Do you have a colour code by any chance.
Great resto btw, I will be hunting for rust before my car goes in to the paint shop.
My E30 is a road car and has powerflex bushes all round, have not had any running issues whatsoever.
Keep up the good work
Hi, It's called marrakesh brown. Don't know the paint code I'm sure it's easy to track down on Google.Bela wrote:I'm planning on a respray for this summer, what's this colour? its Great... Do you have a colour code by any chance.

I've read a few comments to stick with standard bushes on the road, hence me buying a set. I'll stick with the Powerflex for now seeing as they're fitted. I'll probably not notice the difference anyway but can always swap them later on.

I think amongst all the bushes.. The rear subframe is the least favoured to be polly bushed for road use. As the rear of the car sits on these, a lot of road vibration/noise transmits through these. The rear beam bushes seem to be a pig of a job, best to get it right first time if I were you.Craggy73 wrote:Hi, It's called marrakesh brown. Polly bushes on ARB's I have read to be a good compromise for polly bushed road use..
A few new bits from my dealer:
Z3 Rear hubs, Caliper clips, Rear bumper bracket, Rear subframe bolts and nuts, Propshaft bolts and nuts.

^^^ Doing a 5 stud conversion. Steered away from the ti set up because they use smaller wheel bearings. I've struggled trying to get some z3 6 cylinder hubs on their own so I decided to buy new ones, £79 each.
