ok the rear has been dropped now but it looks abit :gay: with the 14" bbs wheels lol. took it round the block and i was suprised by the ride! nowhere near as bad as the rep theyve got (was a little bit bumpy but drives a trillion times better than with the stock 24 year old shock and springs) its almost fun to drive now apart from being stupidly slow.

this is what i got in the box. also had to get 51mm struts for them to fit and used my 320i discs/calipers

Image

ill post pics tomorrow of the car needs a clean and was too dark anyway

that looks a very tidy example mate fair play

i am in the same mind set as yourself, everyone wants a coupe, 2 door, sport look a like or sport what ever you wanna call them...... same old same old. now i actually went out to find a 4 door with nice shell. yes on purpose to make the ultimate sleeper...

funny enough, mine started as a 320 but shes an se so fully loaded with kit. and by the way, a 4 door with an m52 hidden in there is very under estimated by nearly every hot hatch or sports car shes ever had grief from!!

some things have got to be done. good luck with her
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

...yes.

few pics since suspension work. i like the height of it now its about 3/4 of the way down on the coilovers and it dosent scrape, rub and the ride isnt too harsh ( mabey because of my balloon tyres?)

quick update..

bought some 15" bbs from blitz last night, got 2 goodyear 205/55 tyres this morning.

got some anthracite wheel paint from halfords but was not the shade i was after so went back to halfords and bought 2 cans of BMW sparkling graphite which i think looks quite good with the lachs bodywork. happy with the results (looks much better than in the pics i think)..heres some pics..

Just enjoy the noise. Do you find it feels sluggish?

How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

yeah it is really sluggish but doesnt really bother me cos it gives me an excuse to do the engine swap.

got a whole day of SHANE time tommorow so might fit the rear trailing arms (rear discs)... any tips, what size hub nut is it on the rear and what size allen key for the drive shafts 8mm? should i post pics step by step or will it bore people? im not as clued up as most people on here, almost everything i do to my car is the 1st time ive done it as im a 24 year old groundworker (lay kerbs, block paving, slabs, drainage, tarmac, drink tea etc) not a mechanic but i want to do everything myself rather than just pay somebody to do it ( exept for wiring looms, exhaust manifold and e36 rack hoses etc for the m52... )

Great pics but you'll not have time for any of that once the baby is here :)

looks super condition and the lovely looking silver wheels really complimented it, has to be said the black wheels make it look a bit rough and "drift innit bruv like" , get the silvers back on

Picking up an old e class merc tommorow off my grandad, he took it in as a p/x as hes got a car front. I think its around 88'ish needs tidying up but got tax til october and mot till march I think. it will be my daily driver so I can park the e30 up. he wants £800 but I'm getting it abit cheaper winkeye

Don't take this the wrong way fella but if you think you will have spare money after the nipper is born be prepared to be disappointed! Not to mention the massive sacrifice of your own life and spare time!

Your circumstances may be different to me but I thought the same as you once.

BTW it's your car, for under £2k if you are happy with what you have who cares if it isn't everyones cup of tea! Better owning a bastardised E30 than some sort of Korean junk on the 'never-never' :)

i normally drive like a granny just did that for the pics which turned out shit lol. E30s are ment to be driven anyway , not to be orniments which only ever get driven a few times a year when the son comes out! (m3 or alpina not included)
