TBH thats not bad to insure a 1.6 for a first time driver at the moment looking at other prices. It's crap, but not bad, if that makes sense.

Has it struck you that in 2 years time her tastes may have completely changed? And I hope she'll be paying you back for it when she gets it. Winds me up when parents just buy a car for their child.

(after all, unless you've spent approx £20000 on the Tech1 it's bound to need a new bulkhead, front panel, wings, sills, roof, sunroof tray, rear quarters, rear panel, inner wings, floor pan and boot floor

Food is an entirely different story. From the age of 14 I worked part time jobs after school, and during 6thform and college I had 3 jobs to support buying my cars etc. and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
