Love it Nix looks really smart.

what's the finish like in the door shuts?? you got any pics you could either post up or PM me? I'm fresh in the wrapping game, done a few sunroofs and bonnets... just interested in the finish and what it looks like

Cheers
Chris

what i mean dips is like with how well the vinyl stretches and goes round corners when heat is applied, whether they stretched it to go under the plastics and door seal... i'd love to see this in the flesh to look round it just so i can see how others do it.

like panel wrapping is easy, but i'm intruiged by doing the shell.

I've got a good mate who does wraps etc. The detail you could put on a car is pretty awesome.

Looks pretty good

Thanks mate. I don't have any close up pics at the mo of the edges and stuff but I can say I'm happy with the finish. There are a couple of spots that could have been tucked away just a bit more but you'd have to look up close to notice.

You're a braver man than I am. But if you can get it right I'm sure you could end up making your money back from any bodged practice runs. Have seen a lot more cars with a wrap on them these days and not just lambos belonging to footballers, all types of cars, although it could well be a passing fad.... not for me though!

Good luck mate!! I should imagine you'd be pretty good since the general principal of smoothing out the layer across the panel would be very similar to tinting windows but obvioulsy there are a few more curves to consider with bodywork. Maybe ask the guy who did your mates M3 if you can watch him do the next wrap.

Treat yourself to some new pressed plates! For definite

+1 on the lamin-x'd fogs and chromed indicator bulbs etc.

Also... I can't believe I'm saying this as it makes me a 'mix and match'ing philistine... maybe an mtech rear spoiler would set her off :o:

Pressed plates...hmmmm.... got any suggested links/websites?

Yep, defo gonna get the indicators/fogs done.

Still not sure about the spoiler, think I'll concentrate on getting other bits done (including under the bonnet stuff) first then come back to it.

Cheers!! 8)

They can do some impressive things with wraps these days and the whole point is it's all reversible - which is just as well. 8O

NIX - http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/ << best for pressed plates online....

but keep the invoice in your glove box at all times... they are 100% street legal but it is more than likely you WILL at some point get stopped.
