There was nothing wrong with the fuel clamp on the M3, I just wanted it to have new parts :o:

New grilles wasn't a must either -

Image

But I replaced them on the sport and it transforms it -

The M3 grille is different to the normal grille, they have more cut outs in the vents.

A load more new parts on the way too winkeye winkeye

There is a birds converted one in there and its dreadfull what they did to them tbh.

No offence taken btw felix.
Out of interest and not intended to hijack the thread but what kind of bodgery went on with the birds RHD offering? :o

they are all the same , and about £30 ? these are almost always rotten from the inside out..

as it's something that never needs removing I am thinking of fitting mine on a small bead of seam sealer after it's been waxoiled, ?

I've never seen one that wasn't horrid and I dread to think what mine looks like. 8O

I have my car waxoiled yearly absolutely everywhere and I'm almost certain that's why it's pretty much rust free - and they don't salt the roads in London.

Steve - I;d do whatever you can to it!

Steve would it be worth powdercoating it before you fit it?

Mine was pretty good so was blasted and painted in anti chip. I still waxoiled the inside of it though before fitting.

Small update -

After I gave the M3 a good going over back in Jan, I decided to treat it to new under carriage, that's all it needed to be honest.

It was clean in there too -

Image

All in place, new 8mm hex screws but I didn't have the 10mm, trip to the dealer Monday morning I think.....

And yes I will be leaving the stickers on -

New fuel expansion tank cover too -

I put the new metal cover on back in Jan.

New badge which has been on order for 5 months -

New dog leg gear badge -

I still might buy a new gear gaiter, not sure yet :?

I spent the morning dicking around really 8)
