My bru Gio-SA can correct me if I'm wrong but we in South Africa weren't lucky enough to get the E30 M3. What we got instead was the 325is and the 333i (i believe were homologated for motorsports-will get you more info in the future). More information is on www.e30clubsa.co.za (thats the site i'm from). I only remember seeing a trip3 in the flesh 1ce or 2ce when I was a child. The trip3 is even more rare than our 325is although it didnt handle quite as well as the 325is which had better suspension set up (coming with a 35mm drop as std). The 325is had the Mtech2 kit and the 333i had the Mtech1 kit. To be honest I'd go for the 325is but the 333i's rarity is what makes it so desirable. I'll do more research and update this post as I go along, I'd like to give you more info as to why they were made.
I know the trip3 was designed by Alpina Germany, BMW germany and BMW SA. And was built here in SA.
Kind Regards - Spliffy

I'd have an 325is Evo 2 as well, because of the handling aspect. But these do look cooler.

Definitely the most council looking of all of the factory E30s, odd to see some very anti-councillers loving these cars

I would really love to have one of these
, I would put a cow plough on the front and maybe some Alpina war stripes.
