'kin ell Paul you dont mess about!

What a tasty car and not the run of the mill moor door!

Quite a few people were quick to slate the car in the previous thread but as i said in that thread....
bss325i wrote:There is a slight chance it could have had whats know as the "Alpina 3" ordered from new.

"Alpina 3" was basicly a styling package which comprised of 16xJ alpina alloys, alpina steering wheel and gear knob, alpina spoilers front and rear, ALPINA script badge on boot and an alpina key fob.

The fact the the car is also in misano red indictes that this could be a special order car and if so anything is possible.

Remember, when these cars were new money talked and if customers wanted their car with unusall specs then BMW would exactly so no and potentially loose a sale, they would just charge them more and the wait untill the car was delivered would increase.
.... it turned out to be a good'un!

Speak soon mate.

Nice find Paul! Hows it going anyway? I see you're doing the full restore on "the old lady" as you called her when we met lol Hope its going well, I did see some pics.

My Sport is tucked away in a friends garage just "resting" for a while. My new daily drive is a '93 316i touring now!

My Sport will be featured in Classic Car magazine (small article nothing too big) so look out for that. Also hoping to do more shows this year too. What are you plans for this new "moredoor"?

If this was my car I'd definately keep the Alpina badges.

So what if it doesn't have any Alpina engine work?

It's a special order Alpina car built by Sytners so deserves to wear the badge with pride IMO!

That's really nice mate, loving the four door. I guess having all the Alpina badges, wheels etc is no different to Mercedes, you can buy a bog standard Merc C-class and then buy the AMG kit, that's just wheels and badges from memory. It's all been on the car from new, leave it as is....

WOW,
If I'd have known how much people liked these Beamers I'd have probably kept it! I'm 16 and this was my first car! Couldn't have gone to a better home though, even if it is killing me to look at this pics thinking, "god that's nice, why did I sell that?!" Got myself a '75 1300 Beetle now though, doubt you beamer fans will be too excited by that!!
Despite being no BMW expert, I cna report that this car is awesome fun and a real headturner, and I'm glad I can say I owned one, especially like this. Great to see it looking so good and cared for, thanks mate.
Take Care,
Ollie

That looks in very nice order. I think the E30 shape suits 4 doors and with the kit just looks a nice car

Wow, only just seen this thread, what a lovely and unique interesting more-door you have there, it must be a bit of a one-off with having that spec and Alpina goodies from new.

A spec'd up more-door is a very cool thing indeed, i have a fettish for any of the Alpina more door versions, proper executive bahn stormers

Assumed you probably had a piccie thread for the car Paul, and here it is! Noice. This is the car on the zone I most want to own - if you ever get the hump with it, I'll be in the queue.
