Those pics without the eyebrows look so much better - well done
Nice car, no doubt about it. Not a touring, but I won't hold it against you

I agree. Interesting to see that theres a few people saying the same when only a few months ago we were arguing over whether Si should do his Alpina Blue or keep the original Diamond Black.madman2 wrote:nice alpina but not original as it has been re-sprayed from white to blue hence lost its originality.![]()
any pictures before it was re-sprayed
Si? You did the right thing IMO.

Going back to the car in question!
In April 2005 WLN sold this car for £7250 so did you really pay 13 bags between then and now??

Now that surprises me that WLN would entertain an e30 not in an original colour. Begs the question what would they have asked for it as per mint and totally original?Simon13 wrote:Going back to the car in question!

Mate, my blue beast is the nuts, the best E30 where I live for miles around, Rodderz E30 is probabaly the second best as he lives near me. The black one is nice. But, these beasts look the part in m-tech1, how a cabby should be styles, m-tech 2 is not for my liking.
The car pulls like a jumbojet and doesn't have any difficulty getting up to 125mph on the motorways, does it effortlessly, as I tried when I drove it home on the day I got it.

What's up with calling it "the BEAST" every time? I've seen many many different cars and I wouldn't call an Alpina Cab a beast I'm afraid.

I call it beast because it sounds like a beast, pulls like a beast, looks like an angel, and it easily leaves behind Porsches when I'm behind the wheel.
Only out once a week for a 2 miles drive to keep the gnine sweet, washed every other day even though its hasn't been used, it's the nicest thing I've ever driven, feels much much better than my RS6.
The 1.9 tdi is now gone and an RS6 has taken it's place guys

Full colour change Rodders mate as far as I know, I haven't stripped it down yet and have no intention of doing so, however, I suspect it has total colour change, from where I can see, theres no white.
Got any pictures of your car yet Rod?
It'll be very nice to see your version of the thing.

If it's as good as you make out for it to be then I'd be thrashing for at least 50 mines every weekend.gooner1 wrote:Once a week for two mile , should,nt think thats doing it any favours mate, do,es it even reach operating temperature in that time?.BMWAlpinaC2 wrote:I call it beast because it sounds like a beast, pulls like a beast, looks like an angel, and it easily leaves behind Porsches when I'm behind the wheel.

It would I suppose but theres not much point in racking up the mileage really.
When I take it out for a wash every other day I start up the engine and let it run for a good 20 minutes on the driveway while I get the water and spongers ready for washing.
When it does get taken out for a proper drive, say once every 6 weeks, I make sure it's done proper, we got shopping and to family so it covers a decent amount of optimum running time during that time period, just to keep the engine free from blocks or whatever its called. But you like it yes?

That is a MINT CAR, alpine white is it? That's what mine was first, changed to avus blue, loving the all blend of subtle mods.
Cab's are pretty cool actaully, especially on hot summers days when bald people have their shined nut heads bobbing around.
