I'm chuffed to bits with how it's turned out tbh, a good coverage and doesn't feel to much like as you put it Dez, an affro.
I ended up using a spray paint, but with flexible paint meant for plastics and fabrics that I found in Hobby craft.
It's a nice touch and I can't wait to get it fitted, but I need to do something for the holes where the seat belts come through.

Just use facelift plastic covers mate. They are different to our early shelfs. They will fit straight in. I think I have a spare pair I will send you down if you need?

That's very kind mate, but they won't fit. My belts come through the shelf in a "vertical" way, wheareas most come through a "horizontal" way.
Undecided what to do yet, but we'll see.

Details is everything.
Optionmeister 4 pot turd in progress.
Got the shelf fitted today, looks a strange colour in the photo, but it's a much better match to the seats than the old one.

I have to say, getting them clips into the headlining was bloody nerve racking.

It wasn't fun.
You just hope you've worked out where the clips go properly and go for it.
However its been a sunny day today, and the blind hasn't half proved its use.
I like the colour of my headlining against my seats.

Yeh yours will look fab.
I just did one slit, not cut a hole.
Worked out where they were using the fittings on the blind as a guide.

needs black headlining though, once you've gone black there is no going back. No 20 year old fag, puss, and sweat stained headlining for me

I did see that car, and it did get me thinking....But as always I can't afford to be that extravagent.
Been meaning to ask you Rob, are you going to make it to DC10?
Alex, you can't honestly say you'd put a black headlining in there?

I initially just put it in there as an optionmeister part, but I found it bloody useful keeping the sun from coming in the back window today.
However there is still 5 other windows for the sun to come in.
