Being the Original Polizei isn't allways that much fun. Really loving the thread, but that brand new Hartge grill badge screams "LOOK THE OWNER DIDN'T FIND A BADGE WITH THE OLD FONT SO HE FITTED ME, A BRAND NEW 2009 BADGE"
I understand there isn't much out there, but then rather no badge at all. would be my suggestion.

Why is there not enough time to do it right, but allways enough time to fix the errors - I borrowed that, just so reallistic in my line of work.

I bought the one on the grille in a moment of madness, and fitted it because it was there
it won't be staying on rest assured

I got the Hartge lump in tonight, another milestone !
celebrating with a bottle or 6 of the finest carlsberg the off-licence had to offer
(might be late for work )
my aim is to have it piped up this weekend and running
I have fitted many M20's, but this went in so easy it was unreal !
maybe that was down to using an OEM BMW seatbelt to lower it in ?

I doubt this will go outside again this year ? there is so much to do and i am trying not to cut corners or rush !!
when taking it apart I labelled everything and stored it carefully,
but still, it's a nightmare finding the correct nut/bolt piece of trim,
thanks god for sweep (pete) without him and his endless supply of 'as new spares' this project would never have got this far !
tommorow night I will be finishing the cooling system after yet another trip to the dealers

not got as far as i wanted to this weekend I hoped to get it running but got sidetracked with other stuff !
managed to get the pedalbox changed over to manual,
something i have done a few times but still can't get the hang of it, has to one of the worst jobs on an e30
3 pedal rightness

the M20 is just about ready to go, with just a few bits to do, fill it with oil it will be ready to try !

maplight mirror fitted

picked up the Hartge rear silencer that was fooked, I had it re-wrapped in steel, mick the welder did a great job but I will be keeping a lookout for a better replacement

this arrived on friday from Germany, tommorow morning i will be kicking the postman in the bollocks

I might use the Heckblende from my moredoor but for now i put on a minty OEM surround, looks pretty good

a few side pics

and up she goes !
wish i could get a 2 post ramp into my garage

Loving your work pal.
That Heckblende - that is criminal. They are soooooo hard to get hold of. It took me ages to get mine and I nought another just in case!
About your power sunroof loom - if there's no provision for it at the accessory panel there should be a twin feed coming out of the top left socket that splits into two - one of these can be your feed and I think it is actually for that purpose.

cheers ratch,
wiring is not my strong point !
I intend on buying a 2 door scrapper to use for parts and comparison on what goes where ! there is no way I would strip my low mileage daily driver to find out !
next job is to retrofit electric windows ,OBC and cruise control with NO bodgery, I want it fitted as it would have been done in the factory down to the last screw ....
I considered air-con but it's hard to find a good completely rot free valance !
