Awesome re-build!

Loving the colour too, this will be epic when finished.

If you need some genuine Hartge side stripes there is a guy on German ebay selling some brand new boxed ones for approx £50! He also has brand new boxed genuine Hartge tail pipe ends if your exhaust is rotten and you want to replicate the original.

P.s did you get your sideskirts swapped round?

thanks :)

I already have the stripes they will go on this sunday if the rain stops !
the sideskirts are on with tigerseal and won't be coming off without a huge fight !! so i will leave them like that.

I fitted them that way because the original car came like that and all the pics I have of facelift cars have the badge on the front, but there is nothing in the fitting instructions about this , ?

I think it looks right and the shape of the skirts seem to flow ?

Hmm i'm not sure then, maybe they just did what they felt like on the day :D Judging by their catalogues and both the pre & post facelift cars of the day there were lots of different styles and variations of bodykits available throughout both phases and many different combinations were done to suit the customers i assume. eg front valance only, front and rear valance/no side skirts and the full english with all aspects covered not to mention the various different spoliers. Some of the kits were also 'blended' in too which is kind of cool, they consisted of 1 piece front and rear bumpers with combined valances and the sideskirts seem to be blended into the shell.

I think you are right !
I would have liked the flared arches a certain zoner has these not fitted yet !

I followed the Hartge bodykit instructions I have, very very carefully
which looks like this,

This is the shit mate!!!

Will be over with the pedal box later in the week. Seems a shame to bolt something off my turd on this! Had a good look round the box and cant see anything wrong with it though.

If you need a hand getting the block in give me a shout! I have a crane here if you dont have one, dont want no scratches at all.

Thats got to be the first shell i have seen with no corrosion at all behind the headlamps (on front of front arches) BTW
