small update today, got a call from my mate this morning to say all the doors etc are painted and polished and ready for collection.
so after work i popped over to have a look.
the car is sat in (black) primer and flatted down ready for the final coat. excuse the crap pics but i used my phone

im very happy with the way it looks and its nice to see my hard work is paying off
ive only got a couple of pics of the boot/sunroof but the depth in the paint is unreal

the car should be painted buy sunday so fingers crossed as i only have 38 days till pod. think im going to have a few late nights and sore fingers, but im still planning on making it
it'll be the first show for the car so i hope its a good one
enjoy

i almost forgot about my new dials. not going to be everyones taste but they are a must for the car as the originals dont go up far enough
how they look in the dash (off)

and out (on)

the volt meter is my own creation and a little bright but ive since put a bit of window tint over it and now looks pucker

update time, my carpet was delivered the other day (thanks sweep) so i set about giving it a good clean and hoover followed buy some black dye. it now looks nice and new

i also picked up my doors and bonnet

i still cant get over the paint on this. my mate come up trumps on this. as you can see from my bonnet
its a little dusty but im sure you get the idea.

i had a play with some carbon wrapping tonight. i know its not the real thing but my pockets aint that deep. it does look good though even if it was a complete bitch. ive yet to paint the base plates and surrounds but thats another job ticked off the very long list.

im told the car is painted and just waiting to be colour sanded and polished, cant wait to pick it up.
im getting very excited now so last night i went to the workshop and laid out every part that needs to go back on. it'll be a case of pick it up and bolt it on. if you can imagine a large airfix model, that what it looks like.
i will update soon as there is any so watch this space..........
