It's been a long time coming. It still needs jobs doing. Stuff I am not happy with. But it's up and running. I am chuffed to bits with the power and diff combo.
Pics came out alright for a sh1t iPhone didn't they.

I see your top mount dust caps are missing. If your old E30 ones are too small - try E36 ones, that worked for me when I fitted new top mounts!!
Car looks great btw!!

Just been out on private road and my first impressions are, this turd is going to be a bad influence on me. Also the clutch HAS to go. Solid 5 paddle was the wrong choice.
Came down the slip road on the private road in forth at 55 and put my foot down. It accelerated like it was in 3rd and instantly I was flying past 120
Quickly into 5th and brake on.
80mph is 3200 revs but it could with a 6th gear.
This donk is very strong mid to top end. Dread to think what it will be like mapped.

I will be having that raise I reckon mate.
I need my spare time and money back tbh. I need to drive a car for a bit instead of taking engines in and out of them.
Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

The ASBO Manc won't be getting the keys Dan. I have been in a E30, with a brand new engine, with him.

What clutch have you fitted and why aren't you happy about it? Curious as I want to fit an uprated clutch to my M50 at some stage...Dezzy wrote:Just been out on private road and my first impressions are, this turd is going to be a bad influence on me. Solid plate 5 Paddle. This donk will be ok on a standard M20 clutch and that's what it's getting. Next job on the list.

I suspect the biggest issue is Dezzy's girly northern legs..
Paddle clutch is maybe a bit much, but if you are going to drive it properly, maybe look for a Sachs uprated M20 clutch setup..

Dan the peddle feel is nice, it's the juder in traffic that is killing it for me. When driving correctly it's ok. Slow moving traffic is a mare. It's a road car so it's got to be sorted.
My legs are very powerful thank you homo hair.
