Progress has been slow of late for various reasons but did manage to get round to cleaning it yesterday.
Spent a couple of hours with some polish and wax.Came up really well although it wasnt too bad to start with I suppose.
Fitted some wing/bonnet seals which look pretty cool.
Got a load cover with built in luggage net as it already had the clips fitted in the rooflining.
M50 is now all built back up ready to be fitted which ill hopefully get time to make a start on soon.
Well thats about it,no real progress made really
Going to order some Yellow lamin x for the fogs and go back to clear headlights too.
Oh and also fitted some OEM tweeters pods with upgraded tweets bonded in
Couple of shit pics in my driveway as didnt want to get it dirty taking it out

Picked up a tidy pair of Sport front seats from another zoner.
Much better than the oil stained iS ones that were fitted.
Also won a maplight mirror on Ebay(another zoner as it happens) which was supplied with the factory loom so that went in tonight too.
Still no progress with the engine swap really mainly due to the weather and lack of space etc.
Well Ive now created space to do it,just got to pull my finger out and start it now.
Oh im picking up an E30 M3 Scorpion centre exhaust this weekend from Monkey and my manifolds are being made this week too

Nice purchase on the Scorpion
They must have changed the design as mine (Beemerlads and Gareths) have a resonator just in front of the first silencer.
Here's a pic

Good progress btw

Bit of an update on my lack of progress with this.
Havent done anything to the car or the M50 engine for ages now.Engine is still sat on the stand waiting for the loom and inlet to be refitted etc.
I picked up this 328i the other day with a lovely alusil engine fitted.

Car itself is a total dog making it an ideal donor.
So im going to stick the M52 in mine.
Not sure what to do with the M50 yet, wether to still buy a turbo(secondhand this time) or just sell it on.
So as from next week ill be swapping my insurance over from the E30 to this E46 for a few weeks and get the M52 in.

Constructive day today.
Fitted new waterpump and thermostat along with ali housing.
M50 inlet and sump done.
Lightened M20 flywheel and clutch firtted and gearbox bolted back up.
Engine is now ready to drop into the car so ill crack on with getting the M40 out in the morning.
I have a suspision the M20 starter ive got is shagged so might need to sort that out later.
Also ive fitted the M20 Brown temp sensor but cant remember from doing Cooks what needs doing with the wiring for it but I can sort that when its in the car.
Oh and im a c0ck.
didnt I go and leave the fooking ignition key in the scrap donor when it went to the crusher
I have still got the EWS kit from the M50 but ive also got a Red label 413 DME which should bypass the EWS anyway.
Ready to drop in.....

A "full fat" key is about £35 I think - last one I bought was about 18 months ago though

e30topless said : Proper BMW's have 4 headlights, last of the run was the E30 and E34/E32 anything after that is just complete shite
