hello to you all. now i know its a long time since my last update but work comes first and the hours ive been putting in has left me no time to work on the old girl..... But over the last two weeks ive had plenty of time to get things moving.
so.... doors/ boot and sunroof panel all in primer.

better make sure the grill fits this one

as the only bit of spare time i had in the evening was minimal i thought i'd paint the wheels up in the shed. not going to be everyones taste or anyones but i like it and it has a mega visual impact (drift style if you like)

quick one on the car

after all that i decided to position the seats, nice recaro set from a evo

evo frame was used with the e30 runners to retain the original bolt pattern. all welded up nice and strong.

once that was done the car was masked up ready for a few coats of primer. and believe me it was nice to see it in one colour, even if its boring grey.

as i said before, "never a dull moment in my workshop"
this lot turned up for the new engine

so here she is sat out getting a bit of day light with her urban camo'ish guide coat.

long story short, the car is ready for paint but due to work (again) im not going to have time to paint it... but a very good friend of mine has picked it up and taken it to his bodyshop to do it for me.. a big thanks to mrs kingcruizer as she arranged it all (overhauling style)
so... as i have a shit load of space (after a well deserved tidy up) i thought i'd get the cage into paint. oh what fun it is to paint tubes...........NOT
hung up

in primer

and painted. colour coded to the wheels

next up was getting the bumpers ready
front...

and the rear.. ive decided to delete the exhaust hole (rav will be happy) so 10 points to guess where its going???

another few coats of primer on the bumpers, now ready for paint. i will be dropping these off at the paint shop on saturday

as my mrs has been so good i thought i'd paint her m/sport bumpers and fit them along with her 20" wheels and coilovers. she's now a very happy bunny

so thats it for now. cant wait for it to return so i can fit it all back together. im off tomorrow to buy all the exhaust bits ready to make up the system ( its the only job i hate doing on cars but needs doing)
i hope you all like the progress and i'd like to thank you all for your kind comments, it really does mean alot.
oh, and in answer to the most asked question... yes it will be at pod.

Yeah I'd roll with side exits also? Unless you're planning on being a proper attention whore and having them exit out where the no.plate usually is??

Good to see you rav. Enjoyed the chat and company. Welcome anytime and as said "plenty of goodies to go on"
Spoke to my mate who's got the car earlier and it in the paint booth being flatter for paint so I might not have that long to wait.
I'm really looking to driving it once finished. Might have to use the air field up the road to get acquainted with the old girl
