Nice project. What's it ride like with the 17s, compared to the 15s?
My experience of 17s on E30s is baaad. But then they've always been the 4 stud cheap setup variety, not properly sorted geometry that I would imagine yours is?

How about getting some M3 BBS 5 stud like these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1386943068
So not much has happened with the car recently. Been driving it daily for work etc and enjoying it.
Had a bit of an electrical issue but Dips at customcars sorted that out and whilst the car was at his workshop i had him upgrade the rear springs, fit a revotec fan controller and e34 throttle cable.

Also here's a recent pic of the car.

Really like this.
Like the increasing standardisation of it too with orange indicators going back on with the standard grill.
I'd personally get the m3 bbs wheels on.
Let me know if you ever come to sell!

Its been a hectic last month, had a full stainless steel system made and because i had an e36 steering rack i didn't factor in that with the rack, Dan's manifolds and the e30 steering linkage that the linkage would foul the manifold.
So i had the exhaust system made anyway and had no steering on the car for a bit, while i bought e34 UJ's and sent them off to Dan, a few weeks later Dan sent me back my steering linkage all fitted together ready for me to fit to the rack.
The new exhaust system has made a huge difference to the car, it runs a lot better and smoother.
Here's some pics of the system.

After the exhaust was done, I had no steering so had a transporter take the car.

The e30 jacked up, waiting patiently for the steering linkage.

Got the steering linkage back and while i was fitting that, as advised by other zoners i pushed the rack back to the further two holes. Then got the tracking done, it was so off. I hadn't had it tracked since the 5 stud conversion was done.

Got some domed number plates for the e30 made by Raj (fullhouse).

Then the car decided one night not to start and realised that when i turned on the ignition the fuel pump was not priming then with a few smacks to the fuel tank it started so promptly took the car home. Next day Dips told me to bring the car down to fit a new pump. I went to ECP and got a bosch pump. Bought the part and went to start the car and the fuel pump died again. This time even with smacking the tank it did not fire up.
So had to call another tow truck to take me to customcars.

The new pump died after 3 days! Leaving me stranded again. So Dips sent Bryan down and he pulled the pump out and put a live feed on and it burst into life again and the car has been running well again. We cant figure out what happened to the new pump but it seems to be okay for now.

Cheers Imy!
Bought a set of style 5's around two or three years ago and they went straight to Dips to get refurbed, but as the car got parked up nothing really happened with them.
We decided it was time to get use out of them so the barrels were diamond cut and powder coated, the centres were powder coated sparkle silver and treated to new chrome plated bolts.

Thanks for looking,
Bhups

Hiya nice project thread you have going on here you have the car I plan to create over time with mine it's very nice!
Question though, how did u mount the front anti roll bar if you use the Evo set up but the coilovers don't have the tab, drill the wishbones?
