Done a bit more today, i Bodged the blowing exhaust manifold joint with some exhaust paste, sounds much better now all the bangs and knocks have gone since ive done it.
Sounds like a 6 pot again
http://s153.photobucket.com/albums/s240 ... 010021.flv
nearly sorted with wiring in the car, anyone know where the cruise control ECU goes????

Also after firing it up and letting it run for a bit i noticed water running out under the car, rad was pissing out water so i'am going to need a new one
i bet there expensive for autos too
got carried away once the rad was out and thought i may as well do water pump and cam belt, even though ive never done these before, ive read millions of guides and step by step things for the m20 and seems straight forward enough. Pas and Alt belt didnt look too good either neither did rotor arm but dissy looked quite good
although some of the pins had a bit of wear very slightly on the corners. the rad seemed to be full off orange rusty water and muck
wonder when it was last changed

also soaked the engine bay in Engine and machine cleaner then once it dried plenty of wd40, ive found it you do it the other way rond you get a dreadfull mess
also pulled intake off and soaked that in wd40 along with ICV, i wanted to use Carb and intake cleaner but halfaruds had ran out
thats as far as i got today

Alex the cruise control ECU locates on the left hand side of the car, open the glovebox and you'll see the bracket in the middle at the top, the one with the glovebox light and switch fitted, it sits just above that, there is a bracket to fix it down securely.
I have just fitted cruise this afternoon to my new moredoor, i wedged the ECU in just fine without the bracket......

£17.09 from Cotswold when I asked a few months ago Alex
You may as well get the one from town325i and spend the £10 saving on something else

I want to eventually get a similiar look to this:

Think i'll have to go 60mm lower though to get it that low.

40mm is alright because you can get away with the standard shocks. (just)
I also noticed I prefer the earliest pina front spoiler to the later chromie one.

I want to get the Alpina front spoiler but I dont know if they go with 15" BBS's. Staggared 16" Alpina's are too expensive.
Anyone got a pic 15" BBS's wheels with Alpina front spoiler.

You know the ebay replica front spoilers you found Alex, were they Type 137's or type 147's?
Can't find them on ebay......

Although i think i will end up with tech 1 rear spoiler due to the rarity of the alpina one, sytner Numberplates and tax disc holder etc

Where you going to get the spoiler deko set from if you don't mind me asking??

Thanks BadMoonRising
Bit of an update today, got quite a lot done but again all niggles
got the window mechs all working, heater surround panel is fitted, along with front part of the center console, spent ages cleaning it with microsfibre cloths etc
, fitted wing mirror, nearly got access to the timing belt, i should make sure i have the correct tools next time i go out
any advice on getting the viscous clutch off, i did it on the IS last summer but god knows how i'am going to do it this time, it just spins
i tried to get the water pump off with the viscous etc still on but have only managed to get 2 of the 3 nuts off, the other is further down past lower timing case by the looks of things
here is what it looks like so far

New parts, thermostat is cheaper at halfrauds with a Trade card than with ECP
same goes with aux belts

this is how interior is looking, slowly getting there, cant wait to pick the interior and wings up in 2-3 weeks

i also felt the need to fit this

door is almost together

picked this up the other day, just waiting for the other end bit as its currently attached to a tech 1 sport.
i used 3m stainless steel cleaner on the chrome (it was in the boot of my old 318i chromie and is awsome at cleaning chrome)
i soaked the plastics in autoglym vynal and bumper trim, i litrally soaked it in the stuff and left it dry naturally, end results look fab
