No Nick the 4 door is getting the engine out the touring and the m30 is going in the touring now as i can use the lpg set up that was in the 535 breaker that way.nickso wrote:its the 4 door thats getting the m30 isnt it?
Plus i have read the touring is more suited to the M30 due the weight balance.
That looks sweet man. Im currently doing a 316 touring in the same colour and putting it on alpina reps. Guna lower it on 40 mill springs got the black leather in it and just got to get the survace rust done. Love the front end with a is splitter and the smoked lights and brows.

Well the m30 has been pulled from the donor woohoo
The lpg system took a while to suss out and the wiring for it was a mess.
Engine and box fell out which was a surprise as we thought it would be a bit of a mare but turned out to be a piece of p&&h
We did cut out the front slam panel which helped

The big beasty sitting on the bench ready for its make over before going in.

They are in great condition. Hope you have better luck tracking down a matching set of rears than I'm having.

Love the car - just not a big fan of those wheels I'm afraid. I don't know why - just never done it for me. Cracking project though and really well executed.

Finally got the tyres sorted out for the winter wheels today.
Dont want to be running the borbets over the winter so have fitted the 17" rims i painted white a while back.

What you reckon?
You like them then

Yes mate there just for the winter.jbh wrote:hmm not a fan of the white wheels Jake .. glad there just winter wheels.
They were for the 4 door but thats tucked up in the garage atm so thought i'd stick them on to get the borbets off.
Have been thinking that i might not get away with the borbets on the touring once the 90l lpg tank go's in the boot as it aint light and i reckon it will give me issues with rubbing again

So if it does i think the touring will be getting the mims and the 17"'s will go one the 4 door.

Ha! I actually like the look of those wheels! Although I might change my mind if I saw them in the light of day.
