be intresting to see what the rolling road result turns out to be, it would only be a guess on the gain though.

assuming its close on the stock 170 with the recon head plus something for the zone chip and whatever is left is the manifold, its never going to be conclusive.
I'd throughly recommend this manifold for the looks and sound let alone any potential increase in bhp :D

Given the patches of nice weather we have been having over the last few days i decided to have a day of anti rust fettling in the boot as i noticed a bit of light bubbling at the top of the seal the last time i checked it so i took the plastic cladding off along with the seal, light clusters and plastic screw mounts.

I found this :-x

So i set to...

after much swearing and sanding the affected area was treated thus:
Rub down to bare metal with aluminium oxide paper.
Treatment with krust.
Primed with Helfrauds zinc based primer.
A quick dusting of red to tidy up.
A good coat of waxoil for the time being until the impending respray.

Still looks ok,

Now the parts are starting to turn up for the 2.8 build winkeye

Looking good. Still reckon you need a different rear spoiler for it to look it's best. Good work though dude.

Humbly offering inspiration dude. These look like tech 1 spoilers I think.

How about this?

Colour coded spoiler,

and this car has colour coded sills and rear panel.

Image

Or this?

Black spoiler,

plus this has colour coded side skirts and all red rear lights.

Image

or a combination of the above for you own personal .

SE lip spoilers are everywhere - not interesting enough imho.

tech 2 rear bumper, sorry :nono:

thanks Oakey! i wanted something slightly different the the usual full tech2 kit on the 4 door, i think its different without being overstated, i still need to adjust the rear bumper slightly i think but aside from that the bodystyling is finished

Time to dust this thread off again lol!

After some time spent at R&R on the ramp i now have my new suspension fitted, the details are:

BMW camber correction topmounts,
M3 eccentric Wishbone bushes,
Bilstein B8 dampers,
Eibach pro -40 -30mm springs,
325i Sport anti-roll bars.

Some pictures:

The handling is sooo much sharper although i've done about 500 miles on it already but it still doesnt feel like its quite settled yet.

Money well spent though
:D

not a fan of the pinas anymore they have been done to death. yeah they look ok but theres better out there.

whats the purpose of the bumper strip?

had a set of 16" hartge rims on my caar when i bought it off eko but after a few weeks i just didnt like them either for some reason. im still looking for the right rims.

The other option would be borbet b's with the xspokes done as my current ones are i do like the black and silver, i just want something wider on the back end...

The strip is an aerodynamic feature on the m3 as well as the wing strips, i just like it as something different that you dont often see on a run of the mill e30
