Because I've always found them sensibly priced and very reliable, and I they ever do go wrong ( or I forget and let them deep discharge so far that they can't be saved ) there are branches all over the country open 7 days a week where you can walk in with a dead one and out with a nice new one no questions asked.

If it was visible I'd have taken the stickers off, but it's usually under a nice plastic cover

it's definitely taking shape! I'm impressed.. you seem to be taking a lot more care than the usual 'stick some arches on' merchants I've seen!
I actually quite like it, and I never thought I'd say that.. it's going to look nice when its finished!

thankyou. half the reason im taking my time is purely because i can only work as fast as the little time i get on it (saturdays and sundays) plus cant always afford materials all the time so i use what iv got and do alot of prep work to keep it going wile i save up again.
as for how its looking, im aiming for it to look like a genuine m3 that has been well kept and not a m3 that has been molested and messed with. appart from weels (wich will get chosen later) it will look like a standard m3.
il admit this isnt being built as well as alot of you would like but the finished look i hope will be that of a genuine thing so if you like m3's then youl like this so my efforts are working.... by the sounds of it anyway.
but i understand this ISNT a real m3 so dont lose sight of that when you judge it. just take it for face value. it is what it is. lol il shut up now

Looks pretty good to me, I wouldn't worry too much about getting it absolutely perfect, I've not seen a real m3 that is!

There's plenty of adjustment in the hinges, and most have shims between hinge and boot to level them out.
cheers,

has anyone got the bump stops for the bootlid or a latch as you can see i have neither...?

so as you can see, iv fitted the hindges, rear bumper, boot lid, and filling the other side and a few patches that need attention. by the way, does anyone want to purchase my old wheels shown in the pictures. nothing special, just some old tsw things, 15"

Sorry to be a pain but thats not an m3 headlining both in shape and material, genuine ones feature a plastic brace at the rear to help cover the extra gap from the roof to the rear screen, you will also need the specific c pillar trims and a pillar trims if going with a bonded screen

:)

agreed, but i have the c pillar trims already, front screen will be standard e30. only bonding rear screen. but thanks for trying adit but needs to be m3 headlining only. 8O

update from this weekend and this morning, basicly just aiming to have the car all in primer so i could see where i needed a bit more filler and tweeking. pictures might be a little mixed up as i cant be arsed sorting them lol. anyways have a look :)

thats it for now, after looking round it, already i can see iv got alot of filler work and a hell of alot of sanding to do, also if you look at how iv cut the rear arches so they appear thinner, gives it that genuine look in my oppinion, well i still need to do it to the front arches as you can see there a kit from miles away. so the front wings and bumper will have to come off again soon
but all that asside, im happy with the progress. just itching to get it painted (alpine white)
hopefully il have the evo front chin spoiler and boot spoiler arrive through the post any day aswell 8O
