Bhups E30 M52!

Okay here goes the first part of a series of updates.

The car went to Dips at CustomCars as per the last update. There is a whole heap of work to do - 5 stud conversion, short shift kit, full re-bush, m50 manifold, engine work, service, rust, rear battery conversion etc...

This update is the first part of the 5 stud conversion. So far the front end has been done.

This incorporates new top mounts which are camber and caster adjustable, coilovers, e36 m3 evo wishbones, e36 m3 evo hubs, e36 m3 evo brakes, e30 cab 325 anti roll bar, braided brake lines and e30 m3 offset bush.

The wheels i have chosen are e39 style 32s, et20, 17 x 8j, which have been refurbed and covered with Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas in 215/40/17.

My cousin, he does it for a living.

Had to order new back plates for the trailing arms as the ones that came with them were a bit worst for wear, so they were binned and replaced with new.

My favourite piece of kit is the short shift kit. It comprises of the active autowerkes shift arm, z3m shifter and uuc double selector rod.

On to some engine work.

Needed a new thermostat, housing and water pump. Upgraded to a m50 manifold and 750 master cylinder to accommodate the bigger brakes. Sent my ECU off to DanThe to get the ews delete and map.
















I drove the car for the first time at Dips' garage after almost two years! I am running 215 40 17 but it rubs quite a bit on the rear arches and the front inner arches so have ordered 205 40 17 to help that.

Cheers, but they might be going as i have 1 piece ac schnitzer type 1s which are et35 so will fit better.

We've changed the tyres to Toyos proxes 205/40s, they look and fit much better!

It depends on how ghetto you want the drop. I'd want want zero arch gap, a slight tuck would be nice

Hi Bhups, like the car just read the thread. makes me wish i kept my e30 buts still close to home.
