Care to elaborate, I whacked an Allen key in to stop it spinning and stil don't want to budge.... I was close to cracking out the most used tool I own.... The angle grinderDanThe wrote:Hot stick to move the nut, the faffing is part and parcel innit
Oh, have you uncovered your ball joint press yet!!!
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

These car's are sent to try us.
Trust me a good one is worth the effort. I say that even after my donk needed building twice.
Stick with it mate.
Hot stick = Burning gear FTW

Cheers for the comments!
One thing I forgot to mention is there has been a cat living in this for what looks like some time! Little fecker has been getting in through a hole in the floor pan!
I tried to get a photo the other day as I walked past the car and noticed it in there but by the time I grabbed the camera it did a runner LOL
I suppose it may as well be a useful driverway aunement....

Right getting back on track so I am a bit happier....
Got some new outer ball joints pressed in this morning at a local garage

Then proceeded to remove the struts and get the top mounts changed as they were dead, one had a sheared stud from putting them in the other day, even though I was going to do them anyway.

Old fooked one, grim.
Then it was basically re install the steering rack after my mishap with the E36 one it now rocks an E46 one, and other than the strut it all looks nice and shiney shiney, should make a nice drive when it sees tarmac.

Then got some reconditioned 325i callipers bolted up, goodridge lines, greenstuff pads and power discs, quite pleased with them for 2nd hand off another zoner

All thats left now is to test fit the new wheels..... hmmm, tie rods are fouling? Any ideas people? The are commonly used on E30’s 16x7.5 ET13 and ET25 and still fouling tie rods? 14 BBS fit ok

You can just make out the tie rod touching the inside of the rim????
Below, is the 14 BBS its well clear lol

Do I need hubcentrics to make the MiMs work? What is everyone else with MiMs running?
Well, thats your lot for today but got to face facts soon that I’m going to have to have another bash at welding so I can think about putting the dash board/engine bay back together, urgh...

Well I've done nothing on this car for weeks except try fitting a 16" Hartge Rim on the front end....
Look Cool, but I don't think this car will be good enough to grace them?

Keep the Hartges, they look superb. If you can manage to de-chav as much as possible I reckon that colour could actually look quite good. It certainly does in the photos of just the front arch.

Also chuck a cheapo black heck spoiler on instead of that blue monstrosity for now
Problem with that monstrosity is it was sprayed whilst on the boot lid making it an utter bastard to fit anything else without looking even more shyte than it already does.....
It would be gone don't worry about that but it may have to stay for the time being as I have no idea what the paint code is. I was actually thinking today that it would probably fail an MOT as that built in brake light doesn't work and am thinking that if it has one it may have to work?
Its such a GAY spoiler but its the least of my problems at the minute!

Haha worst comes to worst paint over the brake light with a rattle can so you can't tell it's meant to be one. Should pass then.
