Dan, fancy getting mine done as well? Front and rearsDanThe wrote:See how that caliper in the ebay link has rusted in the box, thats the same 'bleach' coating they use on most recon calipers.
Diddler has seen mine up close and thinks they are the tits when I was picking faults![]()
I had those sandblasted as I didnt know about the derusting place at the time, I also had a set done for town325 that were derusted and finished in chemical black, I think Paul will be having his rears done like this

ok so it's time to move this forward a little bit,
I may have been getting ahead of myself but I have been thinking about sourcing interior bits....
it is getting BMW leather I simply refuse to have a re-trim and as most will know finding this in good order is difficult,
I cannot decide on a colour? obviously the car will definatly be staying Aerosilver, which is proving hard to replicate, and I have decided to use a black headlining,
incidentally (BMW UK has no record of this car) most paint suppliers cannot find a match..one guy has come up with the paint code matching a Rolls Royce colour ? WTF
ok, so should the leatherz be ...
a. black
b. grey
c. indigo
d. cream
Ps. the car was built with cream cloth !
any input is welcome !

That cream does look right with the Aero Silver. Gets my vote, which is odd as I have a serious craving for Cardinal..

Being OEM and all that I'd say Cream (natural) has to stay! However, the chances of getting a natural original trim thats gonna be worthy of a placement in this chariot will be a mission in itself!!
My votes on Indigo. Would look the tits in there!

They do look nice though

I saw the mintest 333i coupe today, around the corner from my house today in Hillingdon... couldnt beleive it to be honest.
Was defo the real MCoy.... White paint, indigo blue leather, Alpina vent gauge, 16" Alpina's, M-Tech1 kit, chrome bumpers, 333i badge etc etc....
Was truelly immaculate, and you can bank on the owner being caked as it wore the Private plate 1 JGU....
Lovley looking car, and to be honest was tempted to wait until the owner returned to ask if he wants to sell....
Managed to get a pic on my Blackberry, will post if i get around to it.....

Matt not doing it?
That is a Alpina Engine and Axle info display. The upper "Achse" and "motor" unit in *c are oil temperatures for the rearaxle and engine. The lower "Saugr." and "Motor" unit in BAR are intake manifold and engine oil pressure.e30topless wrote: the dash thingy not sure what it does it's in german, but it looks pretty !
These instruments sell on German ebay for 1000+ euros.
And when you eventually get your car running and you find that the "Achse" doesn't read anything, then don't get dissapointet it only starts displaying temperatures at 20 deg Celcius until then it's --.
And before you think, What do I need to know the rearaxle temperature for, well I have a car with this instrument in, and I drove it home from Germany a hot summers day, on the autobahn with lots of traffic I had 95 deg celcius in the diff!
Why is there not enough time to do it right, but allways enough time to fix the errors - I borrowed that, just so reallistic in my line of work.
