This puts new meaning to the term 'shark nose' !! Much respect for the farmyard engineering skills....will the bonnet fit?
Youth is wasted on the young.
hinges have gone now im gonna have it mounted on 4 pins, scoop at front of bonnet for engine to fit in and extended front centre piece for above radiator shark nose.daimlerman wrote:This puts new meaning to the term 'shark nose' !! just what i was thinking a nice chrome grill and the shark nose look like an old corvetteoakey wrote:You'll need a RRoyce grill to cover that rad![]()
I cant imagine what the front end will look like with the bumper etc all back on. I'm sure it will look evil though![]()

That sounds savage ,well done on that conversion, what ever you do with the exhaust make sure you keep the turbo whistle its brillent .
Id say there is some torque in that yoke ,watch you dont pull the rear diff mount off !

im gonna get some heavy load spring assistors and fit to front suspension to lift it a bit.

Eaton M90 + Holset HX50 on a full tubular exhaust manifold with pulse-split, with a diesel pump modified in Finland to flow enough for 500 hp (diesel!).

Most impressive! Can't you fit heavier duty springs from a different make/model, rather than using spring assisters which are not going to do much for ride/handling I imagine...

may tune at a later date but for now just intercooler i think.
my sump bung is directly underneath pan i aint risking it. i want over 4" ideally.Jhonno wrote:I have 3" clearance on my sump and front end.. That is plenty!324td wrote:sump and fan are 3 inches off the ground at the moment so need to raise the front abit before any hard testing
its lowered 60 on very hard springs and shocks. dont know exactly what they are but was very stiff with the old engine in. just wana lift it a good inch with some spring assistors then give it a bit of abuse and see what happensoakey wrote:I'm sure you know this but you need Stiff springs as well as height on the front also otherwise the front of the car will dip savagely over bumps with that extra weight

This is possibly the most interesting engine conversion I've ever seen done on here, I salute you sir!
Not in E30s any more
Been following this thread from the start, think you've already proven the doubters wrong! Good luck with getting it sorted, I for one want to see this on the road.

"doughnuts - power braking in circles" Peterborough Evening Telegraph
thanks for all the positive comments guys
got new glow plugs in tonight and tidied up wiring abit. ive got some 180 lb cossie gaz coilover springs spare im gonna sit them directly around front shocks to sort suspension out. got spring assistors on the way as a temp measure. just need fittings for power steering pipes and brake survo pipe should get them tmrw and convert. exhaust i have just need to modify it.
parts i do need are drivers front wing, drivers wing mirror, rear bumper, front bumper and front valance.
