I hopefully get the skirts on at the weekend but the borbets will have to wait until i can find the time to get the paint colour matched to spray the black one.

Once the skirts and the wheels are on thats me finished with the bodywork and styling .

Tech 2 skirts were sold ages ago Peter i never planned on fitting them or the door pods for rust reasons.

The tech 1 skirts have always be the plan

Made a start on the rear end tonight.
Gaz popped in to lend a hand and we got a good bit done.
The old rear beam, trailing arms and diff are out and we also got the trailing arm bushes out and one of the rear wheel bearings out so not bad for a nights work.

Gary having some fun

No mate just had to rebuild the one that was on the car once it was out.

Carrying on from yesterday got an other load done today again with the help of Gary (cheer mate couldnt of done it without your help)

Every thing is back together just the handbrake to set and heat shield to fit after test run.
A few extra jobs got done will we had everything out.(prop donut ,prop center bearing, new handbrake cables and the bit with the bush the shifter linkage thingy gos into above the gearbox was changed as the old one didnt have any of the bush left.

So hopefully get it back on the road tomorrow to try out the poly bushes and the lsd.
I'll have my fingers crossed the knocking/vibration has now gone.

3:64 lsd tightened onto rear subframe(used alittle thread lock and a 3/4 breaker so shouldnt come loose)

Image

Fitted the last two braided hoses for the brakes

Diff back in with poly diff bush.

nice red prop

Trailing arms now with new bearing, backplates and brake pipes.

The 4 door is back on its wheels woohoo
I could only get the handbrake to work on one side so i'll get the mot place to sort that out when its in for the mot.

Took it out for a quick test run and im very happy with the results of all the effort me and gary put in.
The car feels great now the knocking and vibration seem to be gone.It was just a short runs i gave it to check everthing was ok be all seems good.

I'll give it a longer run through the week then get it back up in the air and go over all the nuts again just to be sure there still all tight.

After reading a few thread about poly bushed cars having to harsh a ride it's not as bad as bad as people make out imo.

With the car only used as a toy it wasnt an issue for me anyway.
This set up combined with the hottuning suspension(60/40) seems to work really well, the car feels well planted now. woohoo

Think the next thing on my list will be h&r arb and might try poly drop links
