Just thought anyone who's interested might like to have a look at - in resized and extra photos - what I'm currently driving...
I bought this stunning example of a Motorsport in August last year after it failed to hit its daft eBay reserve. I still paid a fair bit for it, but I can tell you, it's like a four-year old car, having not yet done 50,000 miles!
Everything about it is pretty much as-new. It's all totally original and the engine is so quiet and sweet.
The electro/hydraulic hood goes up and down exactly as it should and the hardtop it also came with has no air bubbles whatsoever. I doubt it's ever seen rain.
The leather is as supple and gorgeous as it was when it came from the showroom. This summer I took everything out and thoroughly cleaned and conditioned it, not that it was really necessary...!
It's just had a full BMW service (inspection 2), during which the cambelt and tensioner were replaced. The guy said it was the finest Motorsport he'd ever seen... which was nice to hear!
I was pretty lucky to have found this and think I'll be keeping it for a good few years. It's my only car and is my daily runabout, though I'm lucky to have a job that takes me abroad a lot, so the mileage will remain low whilst I own it.
Anyway, just thought you might like to see it...!

Handbrake surround PLASTIC?! That's all leather...! All Motorsports (they only made 490) had a full leather interior. Seats, centre console, door cards. But glad you noticed!
The engine bay is pretty immaculate, too. I'll add some shots at some point...

All motorsport convertibles had the centre console and handbrake consoles trimmed in the same leather as the seats.

This car looks awesome. Has to be one of the best in existance and a possible concours contender? I'd leave it exactly as it is. Modify it and it will lose it's originality and some of its current outstanding value.

Schweet Jeebus! This is one of the very few cars that the term "timewarp" can be honestly applied to!

Smashing car a least you are getting the use out of her all year round. This year I have only taken my rag top out 3 times as she only gets used if it's not raining  Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm only a women and I know how you lads like to jump on us girls :o:
Has the car not been modifed from standard?Because shorely the rear lights are showing that it should not have come with the m tec 2 kit.Because that kit was introduced late 88 for the tin top and I believe either 90 or 91 for the rag top.And the other pointer the alarm in the door. But I know that you zoners know all the facts and figures.
I'm not in anyway putting your car down as I think it's awesome and anyone on here would be proud to own it.

Thanks for all your positive comments, both guys AND gals...!
Jem, I'm afraid you're not quite right with your facts. This is my second Motorsport, so I know a bit about them...!
A total of 590 E30 Motorsport convertibles were produced for UK customers from 1988 to 1991. 40 in '88, 250 in '89 (which is when my previous M'sport was produced, with the older-style body kit), a further 250 in '90 (with the new-shape kit, ie., my current car) and finally another 50 in '91.
I could go on, but have a life...!!
Thanks again for all the great comments. Nice to know there are a few other cars out there in the same fantastic nick...

Oh, and NONE of the still-existing Motorsports should have an 'M' badge on them.
M3s deserve one, but not Motorsports! Any Motorsport owners with an 'M' badge on their car are unneccesarily bigging them up. THERE'S NO NEED...!

Lovely car Dude. It's a credit to you.
